Functions

The device is equipped with the following functions:

Dialogue authorization. Protects the system from hacking, providing resistance to all decryption methods. Code protection is ensured by a perfect coding algorithm and the variable frequency method. When commands are given, the transceiver repeatedly changes the type of signal. Both the main and additional pagers are equipped with a dialogue encryption system.
Megacity mode. The extended range of the remote control system and the ability to work in extreme conditions make the anti-theft device convenient for residents of large cities. Radio interference immunity is provided by a 512-channel narrowband transceiver. A special signal processing method allows you to improve the signal quality and increase the range of the pager.
Automatic control of communication channels. A signal is sent to the user when the pager is out of range, which ensures that information is received from the vehicle. The frequency of signal transmission is set by the car owner.
Intelligent autostart. Warming up and turning on the engine is carried out taking into account the temperature, using a timer or using a pager.
Compatible with START/STOP button. Allows you to install an alarm system on vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission.

The disadvantages include the following characteristics:

the possibility of the key fob failing (over time, the pager buttons fail, which is why the device has to be repaired);
high price.

1. Protected areas of the car

Any security alarm protects the car from burglary and theft by protecting certain parts and components. In StarLine A92 such zones are:

body – control is carried out by a shock sensor;
trunk, hood and doors with parking brake - control is carried out by limit switches;
motor – relay that remotely blocks and controls the motor;

How to set up autorun

When program neutral is turned on, it will be possible to set the alarm so that the engine automatically starts at intervals specified by the owner. To do this, you need to place the cursor on the icon with the clock icon and press the third button on the key fob. Then with the same button you can set the start period. After 4 seconds the changes will be saved.

By temperature

In this mode, the alarm gives a command to start the engine if the temperature recorded by the sensor drops below the threshold set in the settings. This will help warm up the engine in advance. To enable automatic start based on temperature, move the cursor to the thermometer icon and press the third button. To change the autostart temperature, press the same button. After 4 seconds, the selected settings will be saved.

By alarm

Before turning on autorun in this way, you must first set the alarm for the required time. To do this, you need to set the time in the basic functions menu. To go to it, you should hold down the fourth button until the beep, after which you need to sequentially set the parameters of the clock and alarm clock. To decrease and increase hours and minutes, use the second and third buttons.

The transition to the next step is carried out with the fourth button. To turn on the alarm, press the second key. After 8 seconds, the alarm is ready to start auto-start on the alarm clock. To do this, select the icon with the clock symbol and press the third button. The engine will start at the specified time.

Problems and their solutions

If the autostart does not turn on or the key fob gives error signals, you need to make sure that the hood is tightly closed, the ignition is turned off and the vehicle is set to program neutral. The car must be braked with the handbrake. Then the serviceability of the limit switches is checked. When performing autostart from the key fob, you should be at a distance of no more than 800 m from the car.

Programming the Starline A92 key fob

How to register the Starline A92 key fob yourself

To register the main or additional A92 remote control with feedback, you only need to execute the following commands:

turn on the car ignition;
press the Valet service key six times;
wait for the sound signal to sound four times;
if the key fob is the main one, then simultaneously press the first and second buttons, and if it is an additional one, then the second and third ones and wait for the sound signal.

Each new remote control is registered in memory using the same procedure. A total of four devices can be registered simultaneously. The number of signals emitted by the machine is equal to the number of the control panel. You can reconfigure the key fobs in the same way.

Installation instructions

Installation of a security system includes the following steps:

Placement of the head unit. The block is fixed on a flat surface with double-sided tape or self-tapping screws.
Securing the transceiver. The module is installed on the windshield or dashboard and secured with double-sided adhesive tape.
