1. Protected areas of the car
Any security alarm protects the car from burglary and theft by protecting certain parts and components. In StarLine A92 such zones are:
- body – control is carried out by a shock sensor;
- trunk, hood and doors with parking brake - control is carried out by limit switches;
- motor – relay that remotely blocks and controls the motor;
- ignition - an ignition circuit control input is provided for it.
The listed control means help the car owner to instantly learn about dangerous situations if the car is hit, someone tries to move it, lift it, break the glass or open the trunk and doors, or turn on the ignition. The alarm also goes off if you try to open the hood, remove headlights and attachments.
Review of car alarm StarLine A93
Keychain Starline 93
Thanks to a special modern CAN + LIN module, the installation of the A93 security complex itself is simplified. The functionality of the system on cars is significantly expanded. An excellent choice for the domestic auto industry, with the characteristic lack of digital buses on vehicles. If desired, the device can be easily configured yourself, although it is better to entrust this to professionals. The same applies to StarLine A91.
The difference from previous analogues is the recognition of any attempts to break into the car and do something with it. Thanks to modern sensors, the owner can even know when the vehicle is about to be towed. The Starline alarm system lets you know automatically.
Special attention to the key fob with shockproof complex. The main control has an informative display that provides all the necessary information, including information on the previous version of Starline A91.
The alarm works without problems using a timer and temperature sensors. This is especially convenient when certain engine characteristics need to be maintained at a specific level. The system automatically turns off all power if attackers try to hack the vehicle while it is warming up and working with standard programs.
The vehicle's location can be tracked using maps after connecting GPRS or GLONASS modules at the owner's choice.
This will also help if the car is stolen. The main thing is to conduct several tests in advance to understand what operating mode and alert level will be successful. This is what they do when owning Starline A91.
How to set up autorun
You can use the autostart feature with StarLine A92 to warm up the engine at low air temperatures or after the time specified by the owner has expired. On a car with a manual transmission, you should activate a special safety mode - program neutral - before starting the engine from the key fob in order to protect against damage and arbitrary movement.
To do this, put the car on the handbrake and turn the ignition key to the “Off” position. Then you need to close all the doors and turn on the security mode. After this, the motor will stop. On a car with an automatic transmission, you need to switch the selector to the parking position and raise the parking brake lever.
By time
When program neutral is turned on, it will be possible to set the alarm so that the engine automatically starts at intervals specified by the owner. To do this, you need to place the cursor on the icon with the clock icon and press the third button on the key fob. Then with the same button you can set the start period. After 4 seconds the changes will be saved.
By temperature
In this mode, the alarm gives a command to start the engine if the temperature recorded by the sensor drops below the threshold set in the settings. This will help warm up the engine in advance. To enable automatic start based on temperature, move the cursor to the thermometer icon and press the third button. To change the autostart temperature, press the same button. After 4 seconds, the selected settings will be saved.
By alarm
Before turning on autorun in this way, you must first set the alarm for the required time. To do this, you need to set the time in the basic functions menu. To go to it, you should hold down the fourth button until the beep, after which you need to sequentially set the parameters of the clock and alarm clock. To decrease and increase hours and minutes, use the second and third buttons.
The transition to the next step is carried out with the fourth button. To turn on the alarm, press the second key. After 8 seconds, the alarm is ready to start auto-start on the alarm clock. To do this, select the icon with the clock symbol and press the third button. The engine will start at the specified time.
Problems and their solutions
If the autostart does not turn on or the key fob gives error signals, you need to make sure that the hood is tightly closed, the ignition is turned off and the vehicle is set to program neutral. The car must be braked with the handbrake. Then the serviceability of the limit switches is checked. When performing autostart from the key fob, you should be at a distance of no more than 800 m from the car.
Programming the Starline A92 key fob
The Starline A92 Dialog remote control is configured using the Valet service button and the buttons of each remote control. In order to correctly program the options, use a table with a list of the latest codes, located inside the instructions for using the complex.
How to register the Starline A92 key fob yourself
To register the main or additional A92 remote control with feedback, you only need to execute the following commands:
- turn on the car ignition;
- press the Valet service key six times;
- wait for the sound signal to sound four times;
- if the key fob is the main one, then simultaneously press the first and second buttons, and if it is an additional one, then the second and third ones and wait for the sound signal.
Each new remote control is registered in memory using the same procedure. A total of four devices can be registered simultaneously. The number of signals emitted by the machine is equal to the number of the control panel. You can reconfigure the key fobs in the same way.
Owner reviews
Vitaly, 33 years old:
I installed Starline A92 Dialog on my Lada and I can confirm that this is the best budget alarm I have ever owned. Very satisfied.
To be honest, it took me a long time to choose the alarm system. I hesitated between different Starline models. But in the end I set my sights on the A92 and was right. Not without problems, but they are all minor.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Installation of car alarms must be carried out by qualified specialists. A car alarm is a complex technical device that requires connection to vehicle circuits associated with engine operation.
We strongly DO NOT recommend wearing your car alarm key fob on the same ring as your car keys.
If an icon appears on the key fob display warning that the key fob battery is low, take measures in advance to replace the battery. We recommend storing the new spare battery in the vehicle in its original packaging.
Read these instructions carefully, paying special attention to sections marked with (ATTENTION!).
Mandatory safety precautions when using the engine start function:
It must be remembered that a car is a vehicle of increased danger. Section 12.8. The traffic rules state: “The driver may leave his seat or leave the vehicle if he has taken the necessary measures to prevent the vehicle from moving spontaneously or being used in the absence of the driver.”
Before using the StarLine A92 Dialog car alarm, carefully read the safety precautions for using the remote or automatic engine start function outlined below:
- Always park your vehicle in an open, well-ventilated area.
- Always set the vehicle's parking brake, which must be in good condition and prevent the vehicle from moving.
- When leaving the vehicle, be sure to place the automatic transmission control lever in the “PARK” position and the manual transmission shift lever in the neutral position.
- If your car uses a manual transmission, then before turning on the remote or automatic engine start function, be sure to follow the “soft neutral” procedure for preparing to start the engine.
- Never start the car engine without the driver present or if anyone is in front of or behind the car.
- Never give car alarm control key fobs to children or other persons without first reading the operating instructions.
- On cars with a manual transmission, it is not recommended to start the engine remotely or automatically if the car is out of sight and the car alarm user is not able to control the engine starting process.
- Before enabling the remote or automatic engine start feature:
- make sure the car is in good condition
- Make sure there is enough fuel, oil, coolant, etc.
- turn off the windshield wipers
- set the operating parameters of the interior heater (air conditioner), heated glass and other accessories to the required levels
- set the interior airflow control to air circulation, which will allow you to more effectively heat or cool the air in the car
Introduction
StarLine A92 Dialog is a modern car security system. The protective properties of the system are implemented using innovative technologies.
This alarm system is a domestically produced security system. According to the instructions, Starline A92 can be configured in different ways.
Malfunctions and methods for their elimination
As is the case with any equipment, the Starline A92 anti-theft system is susceptible to breakdowns and malfunctions, the causes of which can be very different. Most often, to correct the alarm functions, it is enough to carefully read the included user manual and reconfigure the complex in accordance with the recommendations. If this does not help, then it is necessary to look for other reasons for the appearance of unwanted symptoms in the operation of the device.
So, if the alarm system does not respond to signals from the key fobs, and the latter do not see the system, then the car owner is most likely faced with the appearance of strong interference. To eliminate it, it is necessary to separate the wires that can create radio interference or place the antenna in a different location.
When the device does not close or open the doors, there is a high probability of broken limit switches or poor contact performance. The same reason may lie behind the situation when the remote control constantly shows the lock is open or closed, although this is not the case. Broken limit switches are the reason for turn signals not blinking.
If the key fob itself does not work and the reason is not the battery, you will probably have to disassemble it and check the integrity of all structural elements.
What buttons are used for autostart from the Starline A91 key fob
If the trunk error is constantly on, then the problem may lie in incorrect installation of the sensors.

Installation instructions
Installation of a security system includes the following steps:
- Placement of the head unit. The block is fixed on a flat surface with double-sided tape or self-tapping screws.
- Securing the transceiver. The module is installed on the windshield or dashboard and secured with double-sided adhesive tape.
- Siren installation. This part is placed under the hood, pointing the horn down.
- Attaching the shock sensor. The part is fixed to the metal surface with plastic ties.
- Installing a temperature sensor. The element is fixed to the cooling system pipe next to the engine block.
- Connecting the head unit to the power system. For this purpose, ground and voltage wires are used. To connect the first, use a standard bolt. There should be no plastic spacer between the cable and the body. If the wires are pulled under the hood, the installation sites are treated with an anti-corrosion compound. The +12V cable is connected to the battery, introducing an additional fuse.
- Connecting limit switches. The alarm inputs are connected directly to the sensors or the interior lamp.
