The cable can also be routed by installing a roller mechanism; for this you will need a window lift mechanism from any “classic” VAZ, a screw with a washer and bushings. The roller is installed in place of the windshield wiper gearbox. Select the length of the cable so that it does not sag, but also does not retract the lock latch too much. The wires are routed around the perimeter of the trunk door under the headliner.

The negative wire of the activator is connected to the metal so that it is not damaged during operation. The positive contact from the activator is routed to the location where the button is installed (preferably in the hole near the cigarette lighter, there is free space there, or in the central tunnel).
