Setting up key fobs for the Alligator alarm depends on the model and functions of the system, but regardless of the type, it begins with binding to the control unit. Programming is carried out according to one algorithm using the Vallet service button. If it was not possible to program the remote control in this way, then you need to contact a service center, since more modern Alligator key fobs sometimes require manual registration of the code.

Characteristics of the Alligator alarm
General characteristics of Alligator keychains:
- the battery in the main key fob is used at 1.5 volts, and in the additional one - 3;
- The main remote controls have a button locking feature to prevent accidental pressing;
- signal transmission frequency 433-868 MHz;
- operating range - 1200 m;
- car search mode;
- panic mode - siren and alarm signals are activated;
- option to call the car owner from the salon;
- Anti-Hijack mode - protection function against robbery;
- Valet mode to disable all security functions of the anti-theft system.
More expensive and popular models have:
- automatic engine start based on air temperature or timer;
- two-way communication;
- work radius - 2500;
- Safe Start functions (checking logical neutral);
- Short Stop function (arming the car while the engine is running);
- Turbo Cooldown (after active driving and arming the turbocharged car, the engine runs for a few more minutes to cool the turbine);
- possibility of using additional channels.
Technical description
Most Alligator key fob models, such as the S-475 and S-800-850, as well as the 875RS, have the following features:
- programming capability;
- LCD screen;
- backlight;
- vibration call;
- alarm control at a distance of no more than 800 m.
With the Alligator key fob, you can monitor the condition of your car at any time; if something happens to the car, the miniature speaker of the key fob will notify you of the incident. Therefore, there is no need to worry about the car when it is not parked in the garage.
As soon as the system is activated (hacking), the key fob will begin to vibrate and the speaker will turn on (a sound signal). A special indicator of the zones that triggered the signal will appear on the key fob screen.
How to program the key fob?
To set up key fobs, first of all, the car owner needs to program them correctly:
- The Vallet service button is activated with one click (the ignition must be turned off at the time of this procedure).
- After activation, the Vallet key will need to be clicked three more times in a row, after which the device will emit a characteristic signal.
- Immediately after the signal, the owner needs to press the keys on the key fob one by one, thereby synchronizing them with the device on the car.
- At the end of the procedure, the ignition must be turned on and then turned off again, and only then can the operation of the security system be checked in practice.
Matvey Efimov shows how you can register and reprogram the Alligator key fob.
How to register remote controls for Alligator L models
The Alligator L pager, which has 4 buttons, can be linked as follows.
- Disarm the car. Turn on the ignition.
- Press the Jack key three times. The siren will sound once and the LED will light up once. The control unit is ready to record a new control panel for channel 1.
- Press key 1 or 2 on the remote control to tune to channel 1. A long siren signal will sound, indicating that programming is complete.
- Turn on the "Jack" button once.
- One sound will follow and the LED will light up twice. Channel 2 will be programmed.
- Press the remaining button on the communicator (if you used key 1 or 2, you cannot press it again). The siren will emit a long signal - channel 2 programming is completed.
- To exit the recording mode, turn on the ignition or press “Valet” twice.
- The siren will sound for a long time.
We also have an instruction manual for the Tomahawk TZ 9020.

How to enable engine autostart using the Alligator remote control
The Alligator alarm kit includes two remote controls: a five-button and a four-button. The engine can be started from either a 5-button or 4-button key fob. To do this, you need to know the sequence of keystrokes.
The Alligator anti-theft system allows you to independently set the auto start of the car based on temperature, control the warm-up time, and adjust the time for automatic engine start and stop.
- Enter service mode by holding the F key for two seconds on the main pager. The screen will turn on and a beep will sound.
- Press F again, the display will show “timer”. CHIRP will follow.
- Select the desired time period in hours (1-2-3-4-6-24). Each press will be accompanied by a squeak and the turn signals will activate.
- Select temperature trigger mode. The “tempo” symbol will appear on the screen. The key fob will emit a melody and the turn signals will blink. Select the required autostart temperature (-10, -15, -20, -25).
- To exit, press the F key for two seconds. After exiting, the symbols for the selected functions are activated on the display.
- To disable autorun, reset the values in the menu.

One of the most popular models of Alligator key fobs is the D-1100 2-way, technical specifications:
- Interaction and control of the vehicle is carried out within a radius of up to 1 km;
Alligator D-1100 2-way TX - Alert mode (in case of break-in) up to 2 km;
- The memory is designed for the last two activations;
- Up to seven different security modes are available;
- If the car is lost, the key fob can be used as a search device;
- Valet mode;
- Improved turbo timer;
- Ability to remotely start and stop the engine;

- Activation and disarming of the security mode can be done silently;
- Monitoring engine operation using a tachometer;
- Monitoring and maintaining the required level of on-board network.
Alligator keychains have these and many other characteristics; the development and creation of keychains took place using new technologies, and the wishes of users were also taken into account.
Alligator key fobs are distinguished by a unique 868 MHz frequency, which is twice the usual frequency, which allows maximum protection of the car from unauthorized break-ins and radio interceptions.
The main advantage of Alligator is that the built-in module can not be an ordinary car alarm, but work as a full-fledged car security system with a large range of action. Any car enthusiast can find a suitable car alarm based on the characteristics, the main thing is that Alligator has affordable prices and high quality.

Malfunctions
There are different types of malfunctions, but the most common ones are:
- The alarm doesn't respond and nothing happens when you press the key fob. In such a situation, first of all, you urgently need to remove the alarm using the service button, then check and replace the battery. If everything is fine with the batteries, then most likely the fault is in the key fob itself, then it’s better to buy a new one (two key fobs are almost always sold in the package).
- The alarm does not close the car doors. Most likely, there is a malfunction in the door lock or the alarm fuses have failed; it is better not to delay with such a problem and contact a service center.
- The alarm goes off on its own from time to time. First of all, adjust the alarm sensitivity. If this does not help, then try changing the location or replacing the shock sensor; replacing it with a working sensor almost always helps.

Setting up the Alligator key fob and alarm
Setting sensitivity. Everything is beautiful on TV on advertising, but in reality it can be very difficult to set up the alarm correctly, for example, a motion sensor reacts to the slightest movement, the flight of birds. This problem can be solved in the service, but why spend extra money when you can save money and set everything up yourself. To do this, you need to find the alarm unit, then we find a loop of 4 wires that come out of the unit. This wiring leads to the sensor on which the sensitivity regulator we need is located. Scroll through and customize it to your liking and don't worry! Setting up the key fob Very often we buy or exchange cars, and used cars most often already have a car alarm installed; in order not to make a mistake and correctly recognize the model, you need to carefully study the key fob. One of the easiest ways is to search for a keychain on the Internet using a photo. A very convenient and simple service is located on the website – ugona.net. On the website you can specify the parameters of the key fob, such as the number of buttons, LCD screen or not. After you specify all the parameters of the key fob, click OK and study the selected key fobs using the search system. Also carefully examine the keychain for inscriptions and company brands, for example – “Alligator”
Valet button can be located in any secluded place
Valet service button If, when purchasing a used car, you forgot to ask where the Valet service button is located (this button is responsible for setting the alarm) or were simply absent when installing an alarm on the car, then you need to find the system unit. Next, we look for the black wire that comes out of it, it will lead us to the black button, which is “Valet”. It is usually installed under the driver's seat.
Connecting a new car alarm pager with feedback
Synchronization of the control panel of the Alligator anti-theft system is performed according to the following algorithm.
- Turn off security mode. Turn on the ignition.
- During the allotted period of time (fifteen seconds), turn on “Jack” three times. The system will emit three siren sounds and the LED will flash slowly.
- Click the “closed lock” button on the remote control. A long CHIRP will follow. The transmitter will make one sound.
- Repeat the previous step for the remaining key fobs.
- Exit recording mode by turning off the ignition or doing nothing for fifteen seconds. You will hear a short and long siren signal.
