Trunk installation

To install the trunk yourself, follow the sequence of steps.

Attach supports to the roof of the vehicle for further installation of the cross beams. When working, be careful to ensure that the supports fit exactly onto the seal. Otherwise you will damage the paint on your car.
Now you need to pull out the adjusting handle. To do this, carefully grasp the support and turn the handle from left to right until it rests firmly against the body of the car. It is important not to twist it, otherwise the beam may bend.
Repeat the procedure with the second support; to do this, it is recommended to go around the “iron horse” on the other side.
When working, ensure that the geometry is preserved. The primary condition is the level installation of the cross beam. After installation, check how well everything is secured on both sides of the car.
Follow the same steps to install the second cross beam. It is then recommended to measure the distance between the two installed elements. This indicator must be the same at all points. In the photo you can see what it looks like.
When the base for the structure is secured, you can proceed to installing the box, which will allow you to transport various loads regardless of the weather outside.

How to install

To attach the trunk to a VAZ 2110 car, it is not necessary to visit a car service center. You can install the roof rack yourself. Procedure:

We install supports for further installation of transverse arches. It is important to check that the support fits onto the seal. Otherwise, there is a risk of damaging the car's paintwork.
Pull out the control knob. Carefully holding the support, turn the adjuster until the structure fits tightly to the machine. Do not overdo it so as not to deform the beam. We repeat this procedure with another support.

We install the cross members and check the geometry again.
We fix the box, mesh or other structure.

Modifications of the VAZ-2112 car

VAZ-21120 . Modification with a 16-valve injection engine with a volume of 1.5 liters and a power of 93 horsepower. 14-inch wheels were installed on the car. This modification has a problem with valves bending when the timing belt breaks. The problem can be solved by increasing the depth of the grooves in the piston bottoms.

VAZ-21121 . The car was equipped with a VAZ-21114 8-valve injection engine with a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 81 horsepower.

VAZ-21122 . Budget modification with an 8-valve injection engine VAZ-2111. The car was produced without electric windows, the wheels were 13 inches in size, and the brakes were unventilated from a VAZ-2108 car.
