However, it turned out to be so similar in appearance to its predecessor that car enthusiasts pretended that they had not noticed the appearance of the new model, continuing to call the “Taiga” “Niva”.

Indeed, the external similarity between the VAZ 2121 and the VAZ 21213 is obvious - they are still the same three-door, four-seat all-terrain station wagon. But there are still differences.
