UAZ Patriot power relays and fuses are designed to protect attachments and units from overloads and damage from short circuit currents. In total, two main modules are installed on the machine. The first is in the cabin, the second is under the hood of the car. In models 2011 - 2022, pickup and station wagon versions, the location and purpose of the elements is significantly different. The reason is that cars of different model years and trim levels have different wiring. For example, the latest versions with interior air conditioning are very different in content from simple variations, where only a stove and a minimum of additional equipment are mounted.
As a result, the cost of a finished car in different trim levels differs a lot.
Fuse box in the passenger compartment
The module contains most of the elements.
The inserts responsible for the stable operation of the power plant, auxiliary equipment, and lighting devices are concentrated here. To gain access to the panel, you will need to go down to a special cover on the left side of the dashboard. Next, the latch is turned and the outer part is removed. For modifications of 2006, 2009 and 2022, different mounting blocks are used. The manufacturer modernizes the car's wiring, adds updated units, and removes modules that are no longer relevant. Location may vary significantly. To accurately determine the variety, you will need to find out the year of manufacture of the car.
What you need to know about the additional engine compartment unit
It is worth noting that the engine compartment fuse box of the UAZ Patriot is somewhat smaller, but it is responsible for the most important components (starter, fuel pump, anti-lock braking system, etc.). The node diagram can be seen below:
Item no. | Current strength, A | Purpose |
1 | 30 | Fan power supply circuit #1 |
2 | 20 | Starter power circuit |
3 | 20 | Fuel pump power circuit |
4 | 5 | Devices |
5 | 25 | ABS |
6 | 30 | Fan power supply circuit #2 |
7 | 10 | Motor control relay power circuit |
8 | 10 | ABS |
9 | 40 | ABS |
10 | 80 | Mounting block power supply |
Thus, if a problem occurs in the electrical system, it will be necessary to check the serviceability of the fuses and relays, since this is where the problem mainly lies.
Block under the hood
To access the shield you will need to find a black plastic box on the left mudguard.
Next, the lid latches snap off and access to the contents opens. The engine compartment block differs in design and purpose. Power fuses and relay switches responsible for the main car systems are mainly used here. Most of the inserts are designed to protect the electronic systems of the installation, transmission and chassis of the vehicle.
Engine compartment blocks may differ in design. Two panel options are mounted here. Both types can be installed in car versions from 2010 to 2016.
The appearance of the module does not change, the only difference is in the content. You can understand what specific type of block is installed using the diagram on the inside of the protective cover.
Purpose
The main task of fuses is the proper operation of all electrical circuits, and in the event of overloads or short circuits, the fuse in them burns out. As a result of a burnout, any electrical system in the car stops working. To eliminate the malfunction, the first thing you need to do is check the condition of the fuse link, which is located in the control unit (control unit). In addition to these parts, the UAZ Patriot SUV has relays that, in the event of changes in electrical and non-electrical quantities, close or open certain sections of electrical circuits.

When to change fuses
As a rule, most car owners wonder where the UAZ Patriot fuse box is located under the hood only if the element fails. The main symptom of a breakdown is the lack of response of certain electrical equipment of the vehicle.
As a rule, it is worth looking for the cause of the malfunction of all devices from the fuse box.
Where to look for a node
It should be noted that in order to find the main fuse block on the UAZ Patriot, you do not need to go under the hood . In a domestic SUV, the device is located inside the cabin, next to the driver’s left knee.
