Purpose of the VAZ 2107 relay

Relay numberRelay purpose
R1Heated rear window relay
R2Relay for headlight cleaners and washers (wiper relay)
R3Signal relay. If there are two signals, then there is a relay. If there is only one signal, a jumper
R4VAZ 2107 cooling system fan relay. Or a jumper if the car is fuel-injected
R5High beam relay
R6Low beam relay

On VAZ 2107 cars with an injection engine, several more relays and fuses can be found under the glove compartment. They look like this:

Circuits protected by additional fuses (all fuses are 15 A) on the VAZ-2110:

Additional fuses: 1 – ignition module, controller; 2 – canister purge valve, vehicle speed sensor, oxygen (heating) sensor, air flow sensor; 3 – fuel pump relay, fuel pump, injectors.

Additional relays: 4 – electric fan relay; 5 – electric fuel pump relay; 6 – main relay (ignition relay).

There is a fog lamp fuse installed in the niche of the instrument panel behind the mounting block:

Removal and replacement process

To replace, you will need pliers with thin jaws or plastic tweezers.

Under the hood

To do this you need:

  1. Turn off the ignition and open the hood.
  2. Open the LADA Granta engine compartment fuse box by pulling its cover up.
  3. Pull out the blown fuse using pliers.
  4. Install a new element and check the operation of the device it protects. If the fuse blows when it is turned on, then there is a short circuit somewhere in the circuit and the cause must be eliminated.

In the cabin

The procedure is as follows:

  1. Turn off the ignition.
  2. Grab the bottom of the panel between the steering wheel and the handles that control the headlights.
  3. Pull the panel towards you, being careful not to break the plastic clips.
  4. Disconnect the wiring harness from the trunk lock switch.
  5. Take small plastic tweezers attached to the block.
  6. Using plastic tweezers attached to the block, pull out the blown fuse.
  7. Install a new element and check the operation of the protected device. If the fuse immediately blows, then it is necessary to check the condition of the circuit and eliminate the cause of the short circuit.

The relay is replaced in a similar way, but instead of small tweezers, large ones should be used.
