Many owners of a Lada Priora, Grant or Kalina 2 are faced with a malfunction in the direction indicators. Based on past experience, they begin to look for the cause of the failure with the relay or fuse, but they cannot find them. Let's look at how the turn signal circuit diagram works and the procedure for troubleshooting.

Priora's turn signals and power windows do not work

Hello.
First, the left turn signal stuck (the entire left side), I turned it off by disconnecting the battery terminals. At the service station they did the alteration without removing the TsBKE, now the right side, all the turn signals and the emergency lights do not work. Is it possible to solve the issue without completely changing the CBKE? Help went into a turn and after that all the electronics stopped working. Not the instrument panel, not the brake lights, not the turn signals, not even the window lifter, not the robot, I can’t close the glass (((only the emergency lights are working. Where to dig? What’s the sin? I threw off Clem.

It’s only on the cans that you can go into a turn and the glass lifts will fail

Alexey, all at once? most likely the mass fell off the body

There was such a problem a hundred pounds, look at the fuse

Konstantin, um, everything is fine with me, or rather with my car

Check the ground from the battery or a thick wire on the generator, the contact is bad

right next to the basin! the frosts hit and the left window regulator stopped working

Alexey, I know, but what you write is nonsense

Change fuse box

there were no trees or posts or fences around the bend? is he alive?

Alexey, all the previous ones couldn’t die at once

Konstantin, you shouldn’t do it all at once. 3-4 is enough there. All electronics die

Alexey, come on, tell me everything too...

Download the wiring diagram and trace the path from the battery to the fuse box. And then decide...

Konstantin, 90%. Be it indicators and sensors, which this guy got screwed. (although the emergency signal should have died too)

There is such a jamb on them when the mass from the Akuma falls off onto the body, 50 percent that it

If it were for the mass, then the emergency lights would not work either, and with the car running, even with the mass turned off, all electrical devices would work

Look at the supply wire from the generator to the fuse box, there may be a problem with it

By chance you didn’t enter the turn through the roof, because after a simple turn there shouldn’t be anything to refuse

Many Lada Priora car owners are faced with a malfunction in the direction indicators. Based on past experience, they begin to look for the cause of the failure with the relay or fuse, but they cannot find them. Let's look at how the turn signal circuit diagram works and the procedure for troubleshooting.

Let's understand the scheme

Before you begin diagnosing a power window malfunction, you first need to familiarize yourself with the features of the vehicle's electrical circuit. If you can master it, there will be no special problems with making a diagnosis. To do this, you will have to find the car's owner's manual; there are separate wiring diagrams for the driver, passenger and rear doors. To diagnose a malfunction, you will need to know the location and connection of the following elements:

  • Control block;
  • central locking;
  • turn signals;
  • mirrors;
  • blocks to the rear wiring harness, as well as to the speaker;
  • window lift motor.

All described elements are indicated in the basic diagram. Why is all this needed? So that you do not mix up the connections and avoid confusion with the car’s electronics. Sometimes there are situations in which, for example, an inexperienced car enthusiast connects the right window regulator to the left side and vice versa.

After you understand the circuit, you can proceed directly to identifying the malfunction and fixing it, if you can do it yourself.

Thorough examination of technical condition

To diagnose and eliminate the malfunction, you should visit a service station. If you have experience and the necessary equipment, you can do everything yourself. This will require 1-2 hours of free time. Among the most common causes, car mechanics identify a short circuit or physical wear of the mechanism. Regardless of this, the procedure is as follows:

Possible causes of the malfunction include damage to the wiring leading to the electrical package control unit. One of the most common examples: an incorrectly installed radio tape recorder pinches the wires, which leads to a short circuit. Do not lose sight of the wiring connecting the light bulbs and the CBKE. You can verify that the circuit is working properly as follows:

Causes of malfunctions in the operation of turn signals

Approximate procedure if the turn signals fail:

  1. Check the serviceability of the lamp (if it is burnt out, the indicator in the instrument cluster will blink twice as often). If necessary, replace the lamp with a new one;
  2. Check the “grounds” that are located next to the headlight unit and flashlight. Clean the terminals;
  3. Check the steering column switch (example: the contact is stuck and the turn signals do not turn off). Replace it with a known good one, or check it by closing the contacts of the block 49a and 49aL (for the left) or 49a and 49aR (for the right). If the turn signals work, there is a fault in the steering column switch;
  4. Check the hazard warning button in the same way;
  5. Check the wiring to the electrical accessories control unit (example: the rear wall of the radio tape recorder rests against the wires that come from the emergency lights and contact is lost);
  6. Check for the presence of a “plus” on the TsBKE block (X1-14 and X1-15);
  7. Check the wiring from the TsBKE to the lamps. Disconnect the block with wires X1 and apply power through a 5A fuse to pins 14 and 15 of connector X1. (example: if the left or right turn signals on a Priora do not work, then it is possible that when installing the wing, a self-tapping screw got into the wiring harness and caused a short circuit).
  8. The reason is the alarm (for example, the diodes are burned out or the relay is stuck). You should disconnect the alarm connection points to the electrical package control unit and check the operation of the turn signals;
  9. CBKE does not work. Check fuse F31. If there are malfunctions in the operation of the CBKE (example: the left turn signal is constantly on), then you should contact a service station to repair or replace it. In some cases, the reason for the failure of the turn signals was poor contact in the CBKE; the problem was solved by simply turning the unit upside down.

Have you encountered a problem when the turn signals on a Priora do not light up? Write your questions and solutions in the comments. Let us remind you that other instructions and tips for operating this car model can be found in this category or in the contents.

Fuse box in the passenger compartment of VAZ-2170, -2171, -2172

The fuse box in Priora is located at the bottom of the dashboard, on the left side of the steering wheel. To get to it, you need to open the cover, which is held on by three latches. Rotate each locking knob 90 degrees and pull the lid down and it will snap open.

Fuses in the interior mounting block

F1 (25 A) - radiator cooling fan . If your fan does not work, check its motor by applying 12 V directly to it from the battery. If the engine is working properly, then most likely the problem is in the wiring or connectors. Check the serviceability of relay K1.

The fan in the Priora usually turns on at a temperature of 105-110 degrees. Do not allow the engine to overheat, watch the arrow of the temperature sensor.

Replace with a known-good turn signal switch. If not, then, unfortunately, there is a high probability of failure of the electrical package control unit. It's expensive, but it seems to be renovated

I had a permanent short circuit on the left side. Diagnosis: body electronics control unit. They changed it under warranty, but the officials have 11 thousand rubles. with work.

The Central Unit of Body Electronics (CBEC) needs to be replaced; the microcircuits in it responsible for one of the cornering sides are burning out. I had the same thing on my Priora, it was changed at the dealer under warranty. I must say, you were lucky, some of them had their cars completely burnt out because of it. The device itself controls all the electronics, BUT! not protected by anything, not even the simplest fuse for protection. And when the microcircuit inside the block short-circuits, it stupidly burns with a blue flame. They showed me the block removed from my car, the body was badly melted, how it didn’t catch fire is a mystery...

Yeah, I bought a new one, I wanted to change it myself, but they said it was better to entrust this matter to a specialist and not save money. They changed it for me and made an adaptation. In general, everything is fine. ))

Operation of the Priora turn signal relay circuit.

Let's take a closer look at how the circuit works and how the switches and lamps are connected. The main difference between the connection, like some other consumers, is the fact that the turn switch and the hazard warning button do not switch the circuit. That is, when switching, no power passes through the contacts of the turn switch to the lamps.

Let's look at the priors' turning pattern. We see that the electrical package control controller is connected to the switch with two wires, blue and blue with a black stripe, connected to pins 7 and 8 of connector X2 of the instrument panel harness. When you turn on the turns of one of the boards, the switch contacts connect the corresponding wire to the minus. In this case, the controller receives a signal to turn on the lamps of the corresponding side, that is, to work as a Priora turn relay. When you press the alarm button, the same thing happens, but both wires are connected to the minus at once.

When a signal is received from the switches at pins 14 or 15 of connector X1 of the front wiring harness, power appears, which is supplied to the direction indicator lamps of the rear lights and through the connecting connectors of the wiring harnesses to the indicator lamps on the instrument panel and warning lamps in the headlight unit. The hazard warning lamp on the instrument panel receives power from pin 6 of block X2 of the electrical package control controller, through the contacts of the hazard warning button.

Changing the lamp

So, we have the following task: Lada Granta turn signals do not work. The first step is to check whether the lamp has burned out. Let's say it burned out. This means it needs to be replaced. The front turn signals are equipped with PY21W lamps; you can purchase a new lamp and replace it yourself.

In order to pull out the lamp, you need to press on the socket and turn it. The direction of rotation depends on which side the headlight is located on. If on the right, then turn it clockwise. On the left - against, of course. Next, it should be pulled out of the cartridge. To do this, press the lamp and turn it counterclockwise all the way. Now you can insert a new lamp and return everything as it was.

A W5W lamp is installed in the side turn signal. How to get it? Let's say you are on the right wing. In this case, you need to move the turn signal housing to the right (correspondingly, the left one - to the left) and remove the indicator. The lamp socket rotates counterclockwise. Having taken out the lamp, you can replace it and put everything back together, after inspecting the rubber gasket. If you are not satisfied with it, this is a good time to replace it.

Everything is fine with the lamp, but the turn signals on Grant still don’t work? Let's move on.

Priora window lift diagram, connection features.

Despite the fact that the window lifters are controlled in the same way as on previous models, the design of the Priora's window lifters is somewhat different. There is no power window unit on the Priora. The power windows are controlled by the electrical package controller. This was done for ease of control of electric windows. To completely open and close the glass, you no longer need to hold down the key, but simply press it briefly. If you hold the button for a while, the window lifter will work until the button is released. The buttons in this case do not switch the circuit, as on previous models, but are a kind of sensors for the electronic unit.

Connecting the driver's door power windows is somewhat different from the connection in the passenger doors. This is due to the use of an all control module in the driver's door. When you turn on any button on the block, a corresponding signal is generated from it, which is transmitted to the electrical package control controller via the wire connecting pin 5 of the driver's door block with pin 5 of block 3 of the double-glazed window control unit. When troubleshooting without using diagnostic equipment, you can check the integrity or short to ground of the wire through which the signal passes and the presence of power on the driver's door module unit.

Why are glass closers needed?

Installing a glass closer

The power windows available on the Lada Priora are limited in their functions. They are inconvenient because they raise or lower the windows only when you hold down the security mode button. This creates some inconvenience when you turn off the ignition in a hurry, get out of the car and suddenly remember that you didn’t close the windows in the car.

Again, you need to do all the procedures in reverse order: insert the key into the ignition, press the power window buttons. Or you can completely forget that the windows are left open, and then uninvited guests can get into the car.

The ideal option is to close the windows independently when arming, as well as to operate the windows in the car when the engine is off. In such cases, a window closer of the “Master v1.10” type comes to the rescue. Its cost is only 700 rubles. It should be noted that when installing the door closer, you do not need to remove the door trim.

In addition, when using the glass lift only in the first function mode, there is no need to cut the existing wiring, and the installation procedure will only take 5 minutes.

  • Control block;
  • central locking;
  • turn signals;
  • mirrors;
  • blocks to the rear wiring harness, as well as to the speaker;

Tips for motorists

When the driver of a Lada Priora passenger car finds himself in a situation with direction indicators that have refused to work, then in order to get to his home or place of repair, he will have to remember the Rules of the Road, which says how to duplicate the direction indicator signals using his left hand.

The simplest malfunction leading to the failure of the turn signals is the burnout of the filament in one of the lamps. In this case, the turn signal lamp installed on the instrument panel begins to blink at double frequency. In this situation, the driver needs to stop, get out of the car and determine where he will have to change the faulty turn signal lamp. When replacing a lamp, he must remember that it must be exactly the same power as the burnt one.

But other turn signal malfunctions are much more difficult for the driver to deal with, since their operation is controlled by the turn signal switch located inside the electrical package controller, and without knowledge of electrical engineering you are unlikely to be able to find a malfunction there. The only thing the driver himself can do is replace the faulty power package controller with a new one. To find it, you will need to remove the lining on both sides of the floor tunnel, but before you begin this work, disconnect the battery by removing the negative terminal.

The direction indicators may also fail to function due to failure of the steering switch. The most innocent malfunction under the steering switch is the inability to independently return it to the neutral position. In this case, the driver can continue to operate the Lada Priora car, although he will need to remember to turn off the turn indicators after performing the maneuver.

Good day, comrades. This is the situation. The turn signal on the left side has failed and does not light up, not on the front headlight on the left, not on the fender, not on the rear light. The light bulbs are all intact. The right side works. When the emergency lights are turned on, only the right side blinks, the left does not blink either. When I turn on the right turn signal, the turn signal clicks are normal, when I turn on the left turn signal, the clicks are fast. But it doesn’t burn(((What could be the matter?!

Types of problems and troubleshooting methods

The turn signal works correctly if the following indicators are met:

  • the presence of the ignition on ensures the operating mode;
  • moving the steering column switch up and down must be accompanied by turning on the turn signal on the corresponding side;
  • The turn signal should flash at a rate of 60 cycles per minute.

Flashing at a certain frequency
Any other behavior of the turn signal indicates a problem. The most common causes of malfunctions include:

Non-blinking turn signal.
The problem requires familiarity with the basic principle of relay operation: the current passing through the lamps leads to heating of the measuring resistor - an element that determines whether a particular lamp needs to be turned on. Consequently, the lamp resistance, different from the nominal one, changes the time the turn signal is turned on: it begins to blink. In this situation, it is recommended to lightly tap the relay (this helps if there is a weak connection or moisture). If you have replaced the relay, but the turn signal does not blink, but is constantly on, then there is poor contact with the fuse block. Replacing a fuse that was found to have a resistance value that does not correspond to the nominal value can also help. Turn signal light
Stopping the operation of one turn signal is incompatible with a relay malfunction (failures of this kind cause both turn signals to malfunction). One of the turn signals may fail due to a burnt-out light bulb (the simplest option) or a faulty wiring or socket. The new tab must not only fit into the turn signal socket, but also correspond to the power indicated on the lamp. If after replacing the light bulb the turn signal still does not start working, you need to pay attention to the socket. If there are traces of oxidation on it, then you should remove them. Sandpaper or a needle file works well for this. And if the light bulb is in too tight contact with the contacts, then you need to bend them with thin-nose pliers. This must be done as carefully as possible, preventing the contacts from closing, which can lead to another problem - the turn signals working in a checkerboard pattern. The normal condition of the cartridge means that the cause of the malfunction lies in the wiring. First you need to make sure that the wire is securely connected to the socket. In this case, it is unacceptable for the wires to be closed to each other or to have a ground short to the metal body of the car. In this case, it is necessary to replace the wires or at least insulate them. If at the same time the hazard lights do not work, then the relay definitely needs to be changed - it is faulty.

A malfunction in the automatic shutdown can only be corrected in one way - replacing the switch. In case of such a breakdown, it is better to seek help from a specialist.

Doesn't light
Also, the reason for the turn signal not working may be the switch itself. To check it, you need to get to the steering column switch and unmount it. By the way, if a problem occurs in the form of a hazard warning light that does not turn on when there are normally working turn signals, you just need to replace the button responsible for turning on the emergency lights.

A blinking turn signal too often is a sure sign that one of the light bulbs has burned out, or the chip in the tail light or the track in the mounting block has oxidized.

A dim turn signal light is a signal to check the suitability of the model and power.
If everything is in order, then cleaning the contacts of the light bulbs can correct the situation. Relay
A turn signal relay that makes a clicking sound is also not normal.
The malfunction is hidden in the mounting block, or more precisely, in the relay contacts. Clicking sounds may occur if the contact is oxidized or is too tight. This can also be caused by a defective relay. The problem can be fixed by cleaning the contacts or installing a new relay. Turn signal switch
A turn signal that does not work on one side, either front or rear, or in the repeater, indicates that the steering column switch is broken, there is no contact with it, or that the same relay has failed.
Priora fuse box
The electrical circuit of the turn signal is protected by an 8-amp fuse located in the mounting block. If it breaks down, turns will stop working on both the left and right sides of the car.

The light signaling system ensures traffic safety, so the driver should always have at least light bulbs of the required power with him.

Do-it-yourself repair of direction indicators and hazard alarms

If the turns disappear, as well as the car’s emergency signal, then you can try to solve this problem yourself:

  1. If the safety element and relay break down, the failed parts must be replaced. If the reason lies in a short circuit, then before replacing it is necessary to check all electrical circuits in which it could occur. Only after the cause of the short circuit and power surges has been eliminated, the devices need to be changed.
  2. If the hazard warning button is faulty, you just need to replace it. We have already talked about how to diagnose this part.
  3. As for electrical circuit diagnostics, it is carried out using a tester. If damaged sections of the wire are identified, they must be replaced. When laying them, make sure that the wiring does not come into contact with moving body elements. It is also recommended to additionally insulate new wires to increase the reliability of the insulation.
  4. If the reason is the light bulbs, then all burnt out light sources must be replaced. In the front and rear headlights, the lamps are changed by removing the protection from the headlights, disconnecting the power circuit from the lamp, as well as unscrewing the light source from the seat and replacing it with a new one. If the lamps in the side headlights do not work, then, as a rule, to dismantle the lighting sources, the lamp itself must be pryed off with a screwdriver, then disconnect the power cord and remove the device.
  5. If the reason lies in the steering column switch, then this device needs to be disassembled and checked. As a rule, the cause of switch failure is poor contact or abrasion. In this case, the failed switch is replaced with a new one. As for the contacts (no matter where - on connections or buttons), it is advisable to clean them.
  6. You should also check all the plugs and connectors, because it is quite possible that the problem is poor contact on them. Acidified contacts must be cleaned with a wire brush or sandpaper. If the contacts are burnt out, they will need to be replaced.

Flashing the immobilizer

As a rule, Priora is equipped with a standard APS-6 immobilizer.
This, as already said, is an optional procedure, but if the budget does not allow you to invest in a security system, you will inevitably have to deal with all this electronic “stuffing”. In addition to the power windows, the immobilizer controls several other systems of the car, even the rear lights. But the main problem is precisely that in the Priora car the immobilizer is structurally combined with the glass unit controller. Priora lends itself well to tuning. A solution was also found for the immobilizer. During learning, the immobilizer writes its code to a non-volatile area of the ECU memory, which is stored in a disabled state. To disable the immobilizer, you need to clear this memory cell in the ECU.

To do this, you need to disconnect the original wiring connector from the immobilizer. Next, you need to determine the type of ECU. The flashing method will depend on this. If it is a Bosch M1.5.4, you need to open it and install a specially prepared chip with a program for cleaning the ECU EEPROM in place of the standard one and turn on the ignition for a few seconds. For some ECUs, you need to download special programmers from the Internet.

You can order flashing from specialists at reasonable prices

By the way, the Priora immobilizer itself is often prone to malfunctions, and therefore you need to interfere with its operation with extreme caution. On some types of ECUs, it is impossible to do without desoldering the microcircuit and you cannot completely erase the EEPROM. This is where we end

Good luck!

We end here. Good luck!
