How to set up auto start on a sheriff alarm system

Sheriff security systems, if the number 1000 or higher is indicated in the name, are always equipped with an automatic start option. Judging by the reviews, for most owners all options work reliably, but problems usually arise with autostart. Any Sheriff car alarm is a rather complex programmable device capable of tracking and remembering events perceived through different channels and inputs. Some people, for example, connect signal inputs directly to ground, and then wonder why they cannot autostart. It was decided to list all such errors in the text. Happy reading.

Types and characteristics of models

Let's look at the most popular models of anti-theft systems among consumers:

  1. Sheriff with automatic start. The main feature of this anti-theft system is the ability to automatically start the car’s power unit remotely. This function is especially convenient in winter, since the driver can warm up the engine and interior of the car in advance, while at home. The “alarm” kit includes a key fob with two-way communication, which allows you to monitor the condition of the car. The cost of such anti-theft systems will be from 5 thousand rubles and more.
  2. Anti-theft installation Sheriff with feedback. The central processor installed in the car exchanges data with the control panel via a secure channel. As a result, the car owner will always know the condition of the car. All data on protection and impact on the body are displayed on the remote control screen. The cost of models with two-way communication averages from three thousand rubles.
  3. The APS-2500 model should be highlighted separately. This is a multifunctional security system equipped with a two-level sensitivity controller. It is possible to connect an additional sensor and channels for data transmission. If it is necessary to perform an emergency shutdown or activate the anti-theft system while the power unit is operating, you can use a PIN code. You can find this model on the market for 1800 rubles.
  4. Model ZX-750. Another alarm system with two-way communication. The main feature is that the maximum range of operation between the control module and the remote control is up to two kilometers. The anti-theft installation can monitor the operation of the light alarm. The average cost is from 4,500 rubles. The price may vary depending on the store and region where the alarm is purchased.
  5. BTX 5900LCD. This model belongs to the premium segment of the market and is positioned by the manufacturer as a business class alarm system. It has extensive functionality; you can configure remote engine start and automatic switching on of lights in the car interior. The average cost of the system is 6 thousand rubles.
  6. TX-35PRO. The system is equipped with a two-channel receiver, as well as a two-level shock controller. You can configure the device to work with four remote controls. The price of this alarm model is from 3 thousand rubles on average.
  7. APS-2600. The system belongs to the budget segment of the market, its average cost is about two thousand rubles. The alarm has no feedback; the kit includes two key fobs without a display. However, this alarm model allows you to effectively protect your car from burglary thanks to the included immobilizer, as well as a two-level shock sensor.
  8. The APS95LCD alarm has a feedback function. Signals are transmitted between the system and the remote control via a secure channel, which eliminates the possibility of impulses being intercepted by intruders. The shock controller can be adjusted to reduce or increase sensitivity. The presence of “Panic” and “Anti-grabber” modes allows you to ensure reliable system protection. The car owner can independently reprogram the anti-theft system. It is possible to automatically start the engine. This “alarm” differs from its predecessors in the design of the remote control. The cost of the alarm system is from 3 thousand rubles.
  9. Sheriff ZX-1070. This model of anti-theft installation is considered one of the most budget options. The package includes an upgraded remote control, and if necessary, you can configure the start of the power unit remotely. One of the varieties of this system is the Sheriff ZX-925 model. The fundamental difference is the presence of a special code intended for emergency unlocking of the system. The average cost of a car alarm is 2,500 rubles.
  10. ZX-900. The system is recognized as the most successful modification among the entire model range. Some market experts classify this “alarm” as a premium segment due to the large number of useful functions and capabilities. The alarm system is developed on the basis of the ZX-725 anti-theft installation. The car owner can independently program many options, including activating the lights in the car's interior. The average cost is from three thousand rubles.

Functional Features

Description of the main and additional features of the Sheriff car alarm:

  1. Ability to operate effectively in a wide temperature range from -45 to +85 degrees. This allows the use of systems from this manufacturer in northern regions.
  2. Remote monitoring of the performance status is possible through the use of a remote control with a display and notification system. When one of the protection zones is activated, the corresponding information with a description of the included area will be displayed on the communicator screen.
  3. Ability to control the car remotely. The alarm system may have an auto-start function for the power unit. In addition to the standard settings, the time at which the machine's engine turns on can be changed. It is also possible to control the car's lighting system in the cabin.
  4. Packet data transmission in any security system model with or without feedback is carried out over a secure channel. To send and receive information, special encoding is used to prevent signal interception. The manufacturer positions Sheriff alarm systems as the most protected from the influence of scanners or code grabbers.
  5. Easy to install. This becomes possible due to the fact that the Sheriff signaling package includes a minimum of electronic components and devices. The service user manual will allow you to independently install and connect the system to your car.
  6. Ability to control additional electrical equipment. We are talking about an electric sunroof, power windows, etc. This function is implemented using window closers.
  7. Ability to enable silent protection mode using a key fob. The main feature of this function is that when the anti-theft system is activated and deactivated, the siren does not turn on.
  8. Option to automatically turn on the security mode. You can configure the function so that the alarm will sound when the last door is closed or the driver leaves the car.
  9. The latest models of alarms are equipped with a special label. It is used to authorize the owner of the vehicle. Identification is carried out automatically when the driver approaches the vehicle. The principle of operation is to use a chip in the key, which interacts with a transceiver in the control unit.
  10. Possibility of setting the door locks to automatically close when the vehicle starts to move.
  11. Option to activate the protection mode when the car engine is running.
  12. Availability of the “Panic” function. Its operation allows you to turn on the siren, as well as the optical devices of the machine. The option is useful for scaring away possible criminals and is launched from the control panel.
  13. The ability to control the protection mode using a secret code or a standard switch, but this option is available in the latest models. The car owner must know the password, which is set during installation and connection of the system.
  14. The presence of a function to notify the driver about the state of the vehicle when the engine immobilizer is turned on.

User Vladimir Taraban, using the example of the 2500 model, spoke about the functional features of the Sheriff systems.

Two-way models

The processor device of such anti-theft systems communicates with the key fob using a secure channel. The owner regularly receives messages about the condition of the vehicle. The data is reflected on the display of the control panel.

Sheriff ZX-945 and ZX-1090

The ZX-945 feedback alarm has the following features:

  • interactive signal coding, providing reliable protection against hacking;
  • high range of the key fob (signals are received at a distance of up to 2 km);
  • processor unit equipped with 4 communication channels;
  • the presence of a liquid crystal screen in the main communicator;
  • 2 security modes: active and passive;
  • possibility of connecting 2 engine blockers (devices prevent criminals from starting the engine).

Commands from the ZX-1090 alarm key fob can be issued from a distance of 1000 m. The range of the communicator in receiving mode is 2200 m. The spare pager operates at a distance of up to 50 m. Dynamic dialogue coding prevents intruders from intercepting the signal.

Sheriff ZX-1070 and ZX-940

Sheriff ZX-1070 is equipped with a feedback function and an engine auto-start module. The system reliably protects the vehicle from theft, damage and evacuation attempts. An auto-start alarm can be configured so that it starts the engine on a timer or at certain intervals. Other useful functions of the anti-theft system include:

  • dynamic signal coding;
  • active and passive security modes;
  • separate control of activation and deactivation of protective functions;
  • passive engine blocking;
  • using a displacement sensor.

The Sheriff ZX-940 anti-theft system is equipped with 4 service channels. There is a two-way communication function. The user sees messages about the vehicle's status on the key fob screen. The driver can remotely adjust the seat position, engine start and security system lights.

Design and principle of operation

The alarm device includes a head unit, an antenna complex, control key fobs and some other elements, for example, an engine blocker. All Sheriff anti-theft systems have the following functions:

  1. Vehicle condition monitoring. The system notifies the user using the key fob. The function works like this: if there is an attempt to steal or damage the car, the sensor transmits information to the head unit. The latter sends data to the key fob, on whose screen a message appears.
  2. Remote control of the car. Depending on the alarm model, the system provides various options for remote engine starting. The user can send a command from the key fob, set the motor activation time, or set frequency indicators.
  3. Security coding. The Sheriff car alarm operates using a separate channel. It is impossible to crack the security code using standard means.
  4. Power window control. The function is implemented only in the presence of automatic closers.
  5. Remote door opening. When the protective mode is turned off, the head unit sends a command to unlock the door locks and trunk.
  6. Silent mode. When the anti-theft system is turned off and on, the system will not sound an alarm. By making the appropriate settings, the user can achieve automatic activation of the security mode when closing the doors.
  7. Activation of alarm mode. At the same time, sound and light indications are triggered. The mode is designed to deter criminals.

Pros and cons of the manufacturer

According to user reviews, Sheriff anti-theft systems with feedback and remote start have the following positive qualities:

  1. Easy to install and use. Anti-theft systems can be installed by yourself. It is enough for a car owner to have minimal knowledge about the structure of the on-board network.
  2. Affordable price. Sheriff alarms are the most popular among buyers, due to their low cost and advanced functionality.
  3. A large number of useful functions. The system will not only protect the car from theft, but will also allow you to control adjustable elements of the interior and body.

The negative points include the following:

  1. Small range of the key fob. The maximum distance at which the remote control can receive and send commands does not exceed 200 m.
  2. Complex installation and operating instructions. The manual contains unclear recommendations that may cause incorrect installation of system elements.
  3. False positives. Unreasonable activation of the alarm mode is not typical for all Sheriff car alarm models with auto start. The disadvantage is associated with problems that arise when the head unit interacts with the engine blocker.
  4. Vulnerability to hacking. Despite the developers' statements about the reliability of the system, car alarms are not resistant to some code grabbers.
  5. Possibility of purchasing a defective product. Due to incorrect operation of the head unit or key fob, the alarm may not turn off.

System installation

The alarm can be installed in the dashboard. To do this, it must first be removed. Next, the connection instructions proceed according to the following scheme:

  1. You need to connect the white wires to the hazard warning switch. The first is connected to the blue wire, the second to the black. Connections are isolated.
  2. The black wire connects to the body.
  3. We connect the red and red-white wires to the thick pink one that goes to the ignition switch. We also carry out isolation.
  4. After this, a dark green wire is brought out under the hood and connected to the end that comes with the kit.
  5. Further instructions involve connecting the yellow wire to the blue-black wire on the ignition switch.
  6. The brown wire connects to the door end on the left.
  7. After this, the black and white wire is brought under the hood to the siren and connected to the red and black one. We attach another wire that comes from the siren to the ground of the car body.
  8. Two thick blue wires run under the hood. They are connected to the starter or ignition.
  9. We connect the blue-white and orange wires to the pink one.
  10. Next, the yellow wire is connected to one lock wire, the white wire to the other. This will ensure symmetrical opening of the doors.
  11. The instructions end with connecting the remaining alarm components: Valet button, indicator lights, shock sensors.
  12. A check is carried out after turning on the battery.

Description of the functions of the APS-35pro Sheriff alarm system

The alarm has a number of advantageous functions:

  • In a situation where it is not possible to use the key fob, you can activate the security using the Valet button. Such manual arming of the car is possible even without an ignition key. But it is carried out only for one cycle until the security system is removed.
  • After the ignition is turned off, the alarm can be set again after 5 seconds.

Using the Valet button you can disarm the car

  1. Each time the car is armed, the LED indicator built into the dashboard begins to blink. The light-emitting diode draws a small amount of current, so if the car is on the alarm for a long time, the battery will not drain.
  2. Each time the system is activated, the side lights begin to flash. This continues for 30 seconds.
  3. When the alarm turns on, the machine's starter circuit is blocked. In this case, the car cannot be started even with the ignition key.
  4. The existing shock sensors are triggered by any interaction on the car body or glass and activate the sound of the siren. However, they can be turned off if there is a possibility that the sensor will accidentally trigger, for example, in busy places.
  5. When the hood or trunk is opened, the system is activated immediately. The side lights flash for 30 seconds and the siren sounds. If the door is left open, the alarm will sound 6 times at short intervals.

Possible problems and their solutions

If Sheriff alarms do not respond to commands sent from the key fob, you need to make sure that the antenna is installed correctly. It must be mounted at a sufficient distance from metal parts. An equally common problem is the false alarm of the siren. In this case, the sensitivity of the sensors is adjusted in accordance with the parameters specified in the instructions. If the doors do not lock when the security mode is turned on, check the condition of the wiring. Damaged cables are replaced.

The Sheriff security system includes six independent (with a pair of remotely controlled) channels. Essentially, these are six programmable lines, the functionality of which can be flexibly configured. The remote control supports the following functions:

  • remote control of turbocharged engines using a key fob;
  • control over auxiliary devices using a timer;
  • information about the location of the car;
  • protection of a car with a running engine and without an ignition key;
  • remote activation of the siren during “NIGHT” using an auxiliary pager or other transmission channel;

Connection diagram for car alarm APS-35 for premises security

However, she did not lie there for long - they adapted her to guard the warehouse. The Sheriff APS-35 PRO car alarm system is, in principle, the most common. In Fig. Figure 1 shows a diagram of its installation in a car, taken from the instruction manual.

Using this alarm system, you can not only protect your car, but also control the unlocking of doors and trunk using the key fob. This was also very useful - they decided to install an electromechanical lock on the warehouse door, by the way, the namesake of the alarm is “Sheriff-ZV”, but made in Russia (and the name is written in Russian letters). So, this lock is a so-called “English lock”, that is, its bolt has a bevel for automatic latching

when closing the door. And it can only be opened electrically by applying current to the solenoid built into it, which retracts the bolt. The solenoid winding is 12V.

So, we decided to do without keys or keyholes altogether, using the alarm key fob as a key.

Let's return to the alarm installation diagram (Fig. 1). It is clear that a 12-volt power source is needed. This can be any 12V network source, with a current of at least 1A; there are plenty of them on sale.

Fig.1. Sheriff APS-35 PRO car alarm connection diagram.

We don’t need to block the engine, so we simply don’t connect the “blocking” terminals anywhere. But output CH2 (Output of additional channel CH2) is just needed; in the car it was used to control the trunk lock. Here we connect the electromechanical lock solenoid to it, as shown in Figure 2A.

Rice. 2. Connection diagram of the solenoid and transistor cascade to the Sheriff APS-35 PRO.

Shock sensors can be installed on the front door, window and their sensitivity can be adjusted accordingly. In addition, you need to install a contact door position sensor on the front door. As such, it is most convenient to install a special reed switch security sensor, the contacts of which open when the door is opened.

However, its operating logic is the opposite of the car's contact sensors, which close when the door is opened. Therefore, between the sensor and the alarm, you need to install an inverse stage on a transistor, as shown in Figure 2B.

As for the rest, the indicator LED can be placed on the front door or left indoors. The “VALET” button, of course, should be installed indoors. We don’t connect “side lights” anywhere.

A siren is needed, but in parallel with it you can connect a car DVR and a relay (Fig. 3) that turns on the light in the room (so that the DVR can see it better). You can also connect a radio channel here to transmit an alarm signal over a distance.

Fig.3. DVR connection diagram.

“ACC+”, which is used to trigger the system when you try to turn on the ignition, is not connected anywhere.

That's basically it. The system works the same way as in a car. We leave the room, close the door behind us, the electromechanical lock latches.

Then, press the arming button on the key fob. There is a “peep-peep” sound.

We arrive and press the disarm button on the key fob. There is a “peep-peep” sound. We press the trunk release button on the key fob, open the door and enter. The trunk release button can be used to lock and unlock the door even when the premises are not armed.

It is best if the system is powered from some kind of uninterruptible power supply. But this issue was practically not studied. I believe that in a similar way you can entrust the protection of the premises to any other car alarm.

The alarm must be used correctly

Alarm units belonging to the Sheriff brand and equipped with auto start have a gearbox selection loop. It is easy to notice that the statement is not true for all devices of the family in question - sometimes software settings are used. In a car with a manual transmission, the owner must perform certain actions, and only then will autostart be allowed. All connections, moreover, are made according to the basic diagram, which is true for any car.

We hope everything is clear here.

Each Sheriff alarm key fob is equipped with a key that allows you to immediately perform a remote start. For most models, this will be the Ch2 key, which is pressed twice. By the way, the sequence discussed above is suitable for a car with a manual transmission. But a car with an automatic transmission can also be equipped with autostart. The Sheriff 1000 car alarm, for example, in the options table has a special setting SF14, which allows you to select the type of gearbox. Initially, the value is set to “1”, that is, “Manual gearbox”.

The owner of a car with an automatic transmission is required to perform the same actions as listed in the text above. But at the same time, as stated in the instructions, the engine stops immediately, and you can leave the cabin at any time.

Failures typical for APS-35 pro alarms

Sheriff 35 pro car security is highly reliable and efficient. It is able to satisfy the needs of owners of budget cars 100% and surprises with the presence of some additional functions that are usually not included in this price category.

The aps 35 car alarm breaks down quite rarely, but characteristic system malfunctions are still present. Let's look at the most common of them and how to eliminate them.

1. The doors do not close using the remote control. Possible causes of the malfunction:

  • button contacts are disconnected
  • the connection diagram for the car alarm aps 35 pro was broken during installation
  • Limit switches have oxidized

Ways to solve the problem: during a sudden change in temperature outside, the shock sensor of the sheriff aps 35pro car alarm may become too sensitive and cause false alarms. In order to configure the sensor, you need to find the adjustment device on its body and set the necessary parameters.

3. The key fob only works from a very close distance. Possible causes of the malfunction:

  • Dead battery
  • The unit is installed too deep inside the car and the signal does not reach it
  • Poor performance of the reception antenna on the unit

Ways to solve the problem: batteries that have expired are replaced, the control unit is placed within the reach of the remote control transmitter. If the problem is an antenna that does not receive the signal well, you need to contact a car alarm repair shop.

Alarm equipment

Sheriff Аps 35pro includes:

  • 2 keychains. One of them has three buttons, the other has four and is enclosed in a metal case. Using the key fob, you can control the central locking, change the security mode, activate the siren sound, open the trunk, and turn off sensors.
  • 2 control channels that can be reprogrammed. The first channel is power, directly controls additional car devices: power windows, backlighting.
  • two-level shock sensors. There is a shutdown option, a perimeter protection function and a reduction in false alarms in all areas.
  • engine temperature sensor;
  • service button;
  • LEDs;
  • connecting wires;
  • hood button;
  • 2 stickers attached to glass.

The car alarm is equipped with automatic door locking. It is activated when the ignition is turned on and turns off after the engine is turned off. At the same time, there is a function for separate opening of car doors.

How to connect

According to the installation instructions, to connect the components of the anti-theft system, you need to perform the following steps:

  • mount all the elements (the head unit and service button are installed in a hidden place, the antenna complex is placed on the rear window, the siren must be connected under the hood);
  • stretch the wire going from the ignition switch to the head unit (a cable is used that receives voltage when the engine starts);
  • extend the wires of the limit switches and siren to the processor unit;
  • connect the ground cable (according to the car alarm connection diagram, a standard nut located on the body is used for this);
  • cut the standard cables used to control the door locks (such wires are laid from the unlocking switch to the locks);
  • connect the main switch wire to the green cable;
  • protect the wiring with electrical tape and corrugated tubes;
  • connect the antenna unit (the cable of this element cannot be inserted into the wiring harnesses that provide power supply).

How to use the ignition switch

Any alarm equipped with auto-start is usually equipped with 5 power terminals:

Cord 3 here is the control one; it is connected to the starter terminal. And on the blue wire, that is, on terminal 15/2, the voltage may disappear when the starter is running, or it may remain on it all the time. When setting up, select one option.

Let's see what the ignition switch looks like in reality:

If you really need autostart, the starter cord (red) will have to be cut. Let's list what the correspondence between the lock and alarm cords looks like. The alarm cable will be indicated on the left:

  • Green – free;
  • Blue – free;
  • Red – pink;
  • Black-yellow thick – red (tap to starter);
  • Black-yellow thin – red (bend to the lock);
  • Yellow - blue thick.

In theory, everything turns out simple.

Of course, you can install the autostart system yourself. But it is better to entrust this task to a professional electrician. The three cords leading to the alarm must carry significant current. In new VAZ models the number of these cords will be no less.

Popular budget models

One of the most popular budget models was the APS-5200 car alarm. Buyers valued the system for the ability to use an additional pager and an adjustable shock sensor, which reduced the number of false alarms. The system was equipped with a multi-tone siren, which was unusual compared to its competitors.

Appearance of the APS-5200 system packaging

The APS-5100 “signaling”, similar in design, was distinguished by reduced functions and the absence of a multi-tone siren in the kit. You can note the alarm models 1000, 1100 or 1350, which had an affordable price and were often installed by official dealers.

Popular business class models

Alarm systems with auto start and key fobs with advanced functions were considered more prestigious. Such systems were models 3900 or 5000, as well as 9000.

Buyers valued the systems for a number of functions:

  • two-way communication channel;
  • extended anti-robbery mode;
  • the ability to start the engine from a distance;
  • protection against accidental shutdowns;
  • control of the operation of window lifters.

Sheriff APS-2500

This “Sheriff” alarm system can actually be considered a radio-controlled central locking module with a tiny share of security functions. With a standard installation, it is not at all difficult to disable it if the machine is hacked. Just look in the instructions to see how to disable the system without using a key fob:

  1. Open the door with the key.
  2. Turn on the ignition.
  3. Press the Valet button within an interval of no more than 10 seconds.

Therefore, for the owner, setting a secret code is a mandatory measure to ensure at least some security. Here its length is fixed, two numbers from 1 to 9, which theoretically gives 81 different combinations. However, the instructions prohibit choosing the number 3 as the first digit of the code, which reduces the number of combinations to 72.

To set a secret code, you need to disarm the car:

  1. Turn on-off-on the ignition.
  2. Dial the first digit using the Valet button.
  3. Turn off, then turn on the ignition again.
  4. Dial the second digit.
  5. Turn off and turn on the ignition.
  6. After waiting for a short signal from the siren, turn off the ignition again.

But in order for the alarm to start working with a secret code, you need to activate the corresponding function:

  1. After disarming the car, turn on the ignition.
  2. No later than 3 seconds later, press Valet three times (this is why you cannot use 3 in the first digit of the secret code).
  3. Turn off and turn on the ignition.
  4. Press Valet 9 times, going to the F9 function.
  5. Press the main key fob button - the system will give two siren signals, indicating that the F9 function has been switched to value 2 (secret code).

The procedure for disabling the security status using a secret code is the same as entering it.

The system, while maintaining common features with the ZX-750, received an increased number of additional channels. Of these, two can be used to control external blocking relays with normally open contacts, and three can have roughly adjustable response time intervals.

The system does not meet modern requirements for anti-theft protection, just like those described above.

  3. Activation of the “panic” mode is carried out by simultaneously pressing buttons 1 and 2; the keys must be pressed and held for two seconds. After turning on, the siren and turning lights of the car will begin to work.
  4. If the siren is activated while the security mode is on, then to turn it off you need to simultaneously press keys 1 and 2 for one second. To turn on the siren, similar steps are performed.
  5. To activate the second data transmission channel, you must hold down key 2 for more than one second.
  6. To enable silent arming mode, click button 2, and then immediately button 1. To disable the function, similar actions are performed.

Activating and disabling security with the Valet button

If you need to arm your car, but for some reason you don’t have a key fob, you can activate the function using the Valet service button:

  1. Quickly press, release, and then press and hold the service key again for more than three seconds. One siren beep will sound as confirmation.
  2. The LED light will blink quickly, indicating activation of the standby mode for closing the last open door. If the door is locked, the driver needs to open it and close it again. If it is open, then it must be locked.
  3. After the last door is locked, the security mode will turn on.

To disable security without a key fob, you need to do the following:

  1. Use the key to open the car door.
  2. This will automatically trigger the siren.
  3. Place the key in the lock and turn on the ignition.
  4. Within ten seconds after installing the key, briefly click on the Valet key.

Deactivation by PIN code

To disable the “alarm”, a personal code can be used (standard password is 11), it can be changed as follows:

  1. The vehicle's security mode is disabled.
  2. The ignition turns on, turns off, and then turns on again.
  3. Within ten seconds, the car owner must press the Valet service button as many times as the first digit of the code. If the password has not been changed, the key is pressed once.
  4. The car's ignition turns off and turns on again.
  5. After this, again within ten seconds you must have time to press the Valet service key as many times as the second digit of the password combination. In our case it is 1.
  6. The vehicle's ignition is switched off and reactivated.
  7. If you entered the code incorrectly, the siren should emit one beep.
  8. You must turn off the ignition within five seconds. The procedure for recording a new password is in progress. To do this, the Valet service button is clicked five times. One short and extended siren signal should sound. This indicates that the car alarm has successfully entered the mode of setting a new password.
  9. Then, within five seconds after the signals are heard, you need to press button 1 of the control key fob (this key is larger in size). The siren will sound once to confirm the action.
  10. Within ten seconds, use the Valet service button to set the first digit of the code. If you press it four times, the siren will emit 4 beeps.
  11. Then, within ten seconds, press the second button of the remote control, which is smaller in size. If everything is done correctly, the siren will emit two beeps. Within ten seconds you need to have time to set the second digit of the code; to do this, the Valet button is pressed the appropriate number of times. The siren will emit sound signals in confirmation.
  12. Then the ignition is turned off. There will be two siren signals - one short, the other longer. This indicates that the programming procedure was successfully completed.

If you lose or forget the password, you will not be able to fully use the alarm.

Andrey Tarakanov in his video spoke about the features of the Sheriff ZX-1095 anti-theft installation.
