How is the first maintenance of the Lada Grant carried out?

As you may have guessed from the title of the review, Granta and I crossed the 15 thousand mark in exactly 4 months. Judge for yourself whether this is a lot or a little for such a period.

Let me start with the fact that I had my 1st MOT at the same dealership where I bought the car, it was at the turn of 3000 km, after which I was stamped with special marks that I should arrive at MOT-2 at 17450-18450 km. In response to my question, why at such a mileage, if the service book says the passage of TO-2 at 14500-15500, I was told that some changes had supposedly occurred. Well, I think God bless him, I didn’t ask, I think there is still time before the maintenance, but we’ll see. Actually, I dashed off 14500 and called them with the same question, the girl on the phone tried to explain to me, but mumbled more) what I understood from her nonsense is that they added 14500 + 3000 km = 17500)) What kind of arithmetic formulas are these? and didn’t understand).

In general, I called another VAZ dealer, fortunately we have as many as 2 of them in our small city)). They said to come according to the interval indicated in the service book. I signed up, arrived, looked at everything, checked it, said everything was in order, naturally we carried out all the procedures that needed to be carried out. Added distilled water to the battery, tightened the handbrake, adjusted the valves, changed the filter and oil, adjusted the lights.

And now about what didn’t suit me, and what didn’t suit me was the PRICE... I brought the engine oil (Zik synthetic 5 by 40) and the oil filter with me, the rest is theirs. TO-2 cost 3778.50 + 682.50 materials + 1500 oil and filter = 5961 rubles. Of course, I’ve never bought a new Russian car, but it seemed to me that this was just bullshit... Prices have skyrocketed for everything, from groceries to motor oils. Two months ago I bought an oil filter for 1200, now it’s 1500... hmm... well, okay, let’s not get into politics. Nothing happened to the car, I’m grateful to it, I start it, warm it up and drive, everything is wonderful. I won’t write about the interior that rattles, everything is clear here. It performs its function of transporting me and not only) successfully.

Fourth scheduled vehicle maintenance
