Three synchronizers are located on the same shaft. For final drive, the drive gear and output shaft are combined. The VAZ 2114 gearbox has a two-satellite differential. By selecting the thickness of the rings, the preload in the differential bearings is adjusted. The main drive driven gear is attached to a flange on the differential box. The gearbox control drive consists of:

  • gear shift lever;
  • traction;
  • ball joint;
  • rod for selecting gears;
  • the mechanism by which gears are selected and changed.

A separate unit, attached to the plane of the clutch housing, is a mechanism consisting of a lever attached to the inner end of the rod, acting on the three-arm lever of the gear selection device.
