The secondary is its continuation: the gears of the first, second and third speeds are located on it. They move along a given path and thus interact with the gears of the intermediate shaft.
The amount of torque directly depends on the diameter of the gears, which differs slightly for different shafts in the gearbox on the VAZ 2107 . The rotation of the secondary shaft occurs on bearings, one of which - roller - is located in front, and the rest are on the rear cover and in the crankcase.
The function of the intermediate shaft is to transmit torque in the required amount between the secondary and primary, from the first of these to the second, respectively.
