VAZ 2109 carburetor solenoid valve control unit

Please tell a newbie. Recently the solenoid valve stopped working, the reason was not in the valve. Unpredictably, voltage drops somewhere in the circuit. I contacted the “master” and he could not find the reason for the loss of contact, but simply broke the electrical needle. valve (thereby restoring normal engine operation), explaining: “the e.valve does not play a special role, it only slightly affects fuel consumption by about 5%.” Question: Is the “master” right? What is the e.m. really responsible for, and what function does it serve? valve? What is the best way for me to deal with this situation?

This, hmm, “master” is wrong - in the city it’s not 5 but up to 15%. In addition, it prevents “dieseling” (or “glow ignition” if you’re wrong, don’t kick it too hard) - the engine running after the ignition is turned off. — Anton, VAZ 21099 carb

Exactly - the EMC cuts off the flow of fuel to

. engine cylinders. And the reason might be in the EPH block. This little black one is to the left of the switch, if you look into the engine compartment with the hood open. Good luck, Andrey
