THE LARGEST ASSEMBLY OF PASSENGER VEHICLES IN EASTERN EUROPE
Based on the results of 2022, AvtoVAZ produced about half a million cars, which is a third of the total volume of the Russian vehicle market. In total, over the years of its existence, the automaker has produced more than 28 million units, while about 57% of the cars moving on our roads are the brainchild of VAZ. This is a truly unique phenomenon, since in no other state is there such dominance of any one manufacturer. By the way, AvtoVAZ works not only for the Russian, but also for foreign markets. Our Ladas can be found even in such distant countries as Canada and even Australia.
Lada Raven - a futuristic supercar concept from AvtoVAZ | Ekabu.ru
It is possible that in a few years the first supercar in the history of this company will roll off the assembly line of the Russian AvtoVAZ.
In any case, the concept of such a car has already been developed. The new car has a bright design and is unlike any previous Lada model. Futuristic Lada Raven from AvtoVAZ.
The Russian AvtoVAZ, which produces Lada cars, does not yet produce supercars. Cars of this brand today look more like Kia from the mid-90s than cars of the 21st century. But perhaps in the coming years a new milestone will come in the history of the domestic automobile industry. The prerequisite for this was the concept of the Lada Raven supercar, which was proposed by Russian designer Dmitry Lazarev.
The Lada Raven supercar is a new word in the domestic automotive industry.
Lada Raven: unusual design in the spirit of modern trends
The main feature of the Lada Raven supercar concept is its unusual design in the spirit of modern trends at the level of world-famous design studios. Massive radiator grilles at the front, huge protrusions at the rear, convex wheel arches - all this makes the car unlike any previous Lada model.

Nothing has been reported about the technical characteristics of the concept. By the appearance of the car, it can be assumed that the engine is supposed to be placed in the middle of the car body. True, skeptics note that Lada currently does not have an engine in its arsenal worthy of such a supercar.

Lada is equal to the photo price. Lada Raven supercar will be produced by an Austrian company
Thanks to an Austrian company, the Lada Raven concept will turn into a production Milan supercar
19:59, May 17, 2022
The Austrian company Milan automobile GMBH will release a sports car designed by a Russian designer. A few years ago, Crimean Dmitry Lazarev presented the Lada Raven concept, which he decided to dedicate to the Russian brand. However, they decided to “revive” the designer’s drawing in Austria. The supercar will be released, but under the name Milan.
On May 16, a working meeting was held in Simferopol between the Organization of Small and Medium Enterprises “New Formation” and representatives of the Austrian company Milan automobile GMBH, during which the Chairman of the Board of the SME “New Formation” Yuri Airapetyan and the co-founder of the Austrian company, racing driver Markus Fuchs signed a Memorandum of Cooperation , which involves, among other things, joint development of sports cars.
As Markus Fuchs said, in the process of searching for a suitable design, the Austrian company came across the Lada Raven project. And they were very surprised to learn that it was just a drawing. After which I decided to release a supercar based on Dmitry Lazarev’s project. The supercar's power will be up to 1000 hp. According to Dmitry, the appearance of the production sports car will be practically no different from the Lada Raven, with the exception of modifications that will be required to improve aerodynamics. There is already a computer video of the future supercar.
The companies of the PIK VECTOR group will carry out design work for the Austrian manufacturer. Experimental Design Bureau TsEL (part of PIK VECTOR) is the developer of the appearance and aerodynamic design of the Milan sports car. The car will be built in Austria, and the first road tests will take place there. However, Milan will also come to Crimea - as Yuri Hayrapetyan said, to begin with, two cars will be sent to the peninsula.
In addition to the computer model, a small 1:10 scale model is currently available. The Milan supercar will be presented live in the fall of 2022. Milan automobile GMBH plans to build 100 cars - 20 copies per year. At the same time, the next model for the Austrian company will be developed in Crimea.

The look of a predator - this is the new Lada!!!
In the world you can look at 3 things: how water flows, how fire burns and how an expensive foreign car drives.
Yes, yes, and this is not fiction. Manufacturers of cars of this class, apparently, decided to experiment and so, such a wonderful machine was born.

The Lada Raven sports car was not sold in Russia
Austrian craftsmen from the little-known company Milan Automotive, founded in the spring of 2017 by former racing driver Markus Fuchs, released their first production car, Milan Red, with amazing technical and dynamic characteristics.
Placed within the wheelbase, a 1325-horsepower gasoline V8 6.2 with four turbochargers without any hybrid component and with drive only to the rear axle allows this beauty to accelerate to “hundreds” in just 2.47 seconds, to 200 km/h in 5 .46 seconds, and up to 300 km/h in 9.98 seconds. The maximum speed according to the manufacturer exceeds 400 km/h. For example, with full acceleration to three hundred, even the “killer” Bugatti Chiron is slower than the “Austrian”: 2.4 seconds, 6.5 seconds and 13.6 seconds to 100 km/h, 200 km/h and 300 km/h, respectively. The Milan Red's impressive performance is also helped by its fairly low weight for a car of this level - just 1,300 kg, thanks to the use of a full carbon monocoque chassis, even including carbon fiber double wishbones.
For stability on the highway at such speeds, in addition to active aerodynamics and an impressive diffuser, a dynamically adjustable suspension is responsible, which can change on the fly not only the stiffness of springs, shock absorbers, stabilizers and change the ground clearance ranging from 90 to 135 mm, but also even adjust the camber and wheel alignment on both axles. As a result, the machine can withstand lateral overloads of up to 2.6 g.
Of course, the project to create such a monster was not implemented a little more than a year after the founding of Milan Automotive; Markus Fuchs began work on his own sports car quite a long time ago, and the first prototype called Milan appeared back in 2012, and according to some sources it was then Even David Coulthard himself tried it.
The most interesting thing is the design of the car, or rather its origin: the appearance of Milan Red was created on the basis of sketches of the 2013 model by our compatriot Dmitry Lazarev. The designer from Russia called his creation Lada Raven and initially offered to implement it to AvtoVAZ, but the management of the domestic auto giant showed no interest in this project. But the appearance of the failed Russian supercar attracted the attention of the Austrians (and not only them), and in 2022 Milan Automotive entered into an official agreement for the acquisition of rights and detailed design development with the PIK Vector design bureau based in Sevastopol, where Lazarev was already working at that time .
The initiator of the Spanish-Ukrainian project Himera-Q, Andrey Dzhazovsky, who presented his supercar, very similar to the Milan Red, at the New Cars Fest automobile festival in Kiev in the summer of 2022, also recently declared ownership of the copyright to the design of this coupe. However, the Chimera has not yet reached mass production; things have not gone beyond a public announcement and some road tests.
As for the very living design successor of the Lada Raven, tangible for now only visually in photographs, the Milan Red, as conceived by the creators, will be released in an extremely limited edition of 99 copies at a price of 1.8 million euros over five years. According to representatives of Milan Automotive, the company received 18 orders for this car even before the official start of sales. It is noteworthy that Milan Red will travel its first kilometers on Russian roads: according to the agreement with PIK Vector, part of the road tests of the sports car will take place in Crimea.

History of achievements
Participation in sports competitions is considered an effective way among automakers to test new models under extreme conditions. AVTOVAZ was no exception - sports modifications appeared almost immediately after the release of the very first VAZ cars. Already in 1971, Soviet racers in “kopeck” VAZ-2101s took the “gold” of the team cup at the European marathon.
VAZ-Avtoexport team at the Tour of Europe-71 rally
Athletes gradually switched from other domestic brands to Togliatti cars, noting their more modern brakes and suspension, better weight distribution and high-quality engine afterburner. Foreign racers also showed interest in VAZ models. Sports victories turned into commercial victories: successes at international rallies increased Lada export sales.
In 1978, the domestic SUV “Niva” made its debut on autocross routes, which has since conquered many difficult tracks. More than once, the Niva successfully performed in the Paris-Dakar rally. Throughout the 1980s, VAZ cars, almost without exception, dominated all types of domestic competitions in which they took part.
Sports debut of the VAZ-2121 Niva at the USSR Autocross Championship
In the 1990s, AVTOVAZ cars continued to be in demand in motorsport; the plant itself initiated many competitions. Today, the LADA Sport ROSNEFT factory team continues to compete in Russian circuit, rally and karting Championships. The past year has been very successful for it: the team's pilots became winners in all racing categories where they started.
Interior
For now, we can only guess what the interior of the new car will look like. However, given its interesting design, we can assume that the interior will have something similar. The interior design must include Alcantara, carbon fiber, genuine leather and aluminum. By the way, it would be nice if, for greater lightness, the body was made exclusively from it.
A two-spoke steering wheel with leather braiding, similar to an airplane steering wheel and flattened at the top and bottom, would be suitable for the car. Also, additional service keys for controlling auxiliary functions would be useful on the steering wheel. The dashboard itself should be made of a projection or screen type.
Since this is a sports coupe, there will most likely be only two seats. And here the imagination of designers can run wild. The seats should be sporty in the full sense of the word. The bucket shape will be just right here, as well as improved lateral support, five-point seat belts, heating, ventilation and a variety of options that are not necessary, but are extremely convenient when using the car.
For now, we can only speculate about the volume of the luggage compartment. As well as what technical characteristics the car will have. A presentation of this car by AvtoVAZ would undoubtedly help dispel rumors and provide more reliable information about the domestic sports car.
“Charged” LADA
The modern successor to the sporting traditions of AVTOVAZ is the subsidiary company LADA Sport. Here, based on the LADA model range, they create sports cars that are available not only to professional racers, but also to everyone. Constant improvement is one of the keys to victory in any sport, and LADA Sport masters do everything possible to ensure that their equipment brings the best results. For this, the division has everything necessary: talented engineers and technicians, its own production, its own conveyor and its own workshops.
Cars “charged” by LADA Sport employees are sold through the AVTOVAZ dealer network, and in total, about 15 thousand cars have been produced since the launch of the line in 2013. Motorsport events at the Togliatti plant fuel interest in sports Ladas.
LADA Sport is part of the main AVTOVAZ conveyor and annually offers sports versions of the new LADA for those who prefer something “hotter”. According to the head of LADA Sport, Vladislav Nezvankin, thanks to the appearance of sports models, AVTOVAZ managed to win back young buyers.
LADA SPORT today in its model range, in addition to special racing sports cars, has two pumped-up cars for public roads.
LADA Granta Drive Active: energy in every detail
Production of this model began in 2022. The sports version of LADA Granta is designed for fans of an energetic driving style. The high-speed character is revealed both by the design elements and the filling of the car. In total, 28 parts and assemblies have been changed in LADA Granta Drive Active.
Visually, the sporty Granta has something in common with the higher-end LADA Vesta Sport model; there are similarities in the chrome exhaust pipe and openwork wheel rims. The design of the car takes into account the signature X-style of recent years. Relief elements make the model aerodynamic. An energetic red color has been introduced to the exterior and interior.
The short-travel suspension makes the car easier to control at high speeds. Anatomical front seats with lateral support also add confidence. 16-valve engine with 106 hp. will provide the ability to dynamically overtake in any situation. The basic version of the LADA Granta Drive Active is equipped with air conditioning, an on-board computer, an audio system, and its cost starts from 685 thousand rubles.
LADA Vesta Sport: racing in the city
The sports version of the popular sedan differs from all other West cars in more than 200 parts and components. AVTOVAZ's rally experience was used in its development. Sales of LADA Vesta Sport started in January 2022.
The sporty nature of LADA Vesta Sport is emphasized visually and constructively. Externally: aerodynamic elements, bright red color in design, rapid X-look. Inside: a boosted 1.8-liter engine with a power of 148 hp, a 5-speed manual transmission from the Renault-Nissan alliance, a specially designed braking system for high speeds. Maximum speed is 198 km/h, acceleration time to 100 km/h is 9.6 seconds. The updated chassis provides firm grip and reduces body roll.
Comfort is ensured by ergonomic sports seats and a heated steering wheel, a stabilization system, climate and cruise control, rain sensors and a multimedia system. LADA Vesta Sport in the LUX version will cost fans of sports cars approximately 1 million 100 thousand rubles.

At first, it seems that someone just decided to make a joke by sticking the Lada logo on such a car. What can I say, well done Profile L. If the author had thought a little and corrected the concept, we would have seen not only a beautiful car, but also one that had a right to exist. Even to such serious guys who have been trying to produce cars for almost fifty years. As for the engine, which will be located in the rear of the body, no data has been provided.

Eh, it’s a pity that everything said below is more likely another “Blah-blah-blah” than our future. At least not in this century. But I’m glad that at least they learned to dream and draw. AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, THIS PROJECT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LADA! SO COMRADES, BEFORE PUBLISHING ANYTHING, CHECK YOUR SOURCES. The source of the recording was deleted because it was all lies! This is the real RAVEN. Nice car, comments about roads are out of place, we still saw a Ferrari, labs move freely around Moscow. If they achieve the completion of the project, then it will be cheaper than their classmates. And it doesn’t need to be sold en masse, there will be custom production, small-scale production is possible, if they bring this car to the international market, it will definitely be enough for a piece of bread and marbled beef.
And only success and good luck to the creator, the car is really, in my opinion, head and shoulders above its classmates in design.
Believe me, designers are not fools, they have experience. And there’s a great joke about the Russian concept of roads. Well, cameras now hang on every second pole, and such cars are clearly not for pensioners to drive. Any super car in Russia, as in most countries of the world, is not practical.
If such a car, or something very similar, a serial one of course, is in a showroom that sells Lada, I’ll eat the title from my Logan and go buy it. This car has nothing to do with the Lada. It’s better to ask Dmitry such questions. I am not an expert, I will not judge or argue.

Another AvtoVAZ concept – Lada XCODE
Relatively recently, the domestic automaker presented another concept car - Lada XCODE. The stylish and expressive exterior is emphasized by the car's modern proportions, compact overhangs, high window line and streamlined body.
The X-shape characteristic of the model can be seen in the radiator grille and aluminum parts of the front bumper. Visually, the Lada XCODE looks wider due to the inclined headlights, which are a continuation of the radiator grille. The rear pillar is made in the shape of a “shark fin”, the design of the rear optics is X-shaped, which can be seen throughout the entire exterior of the concept car.
The side parts of the body look massive due to the increased volume. The door handles are vertical, hidden in the black trim of the door frame.
The practicality of the XCODE concept is determined by the increased ground clearance and wheel size.
The A-pillars feature color accents in a white ceramic look. Similar decor is found on the rear spoiler and side longitudinal beams. The black roof contrasts noticeably with the bright yellow body.
The aerodynamic characteristics of the car are significantly improved due to the original roof design. The distinctive rear bumper underlines the design of the entire concept car.

Exterior
As already noted, most of the information available today is about the appearance of the Lada Raven 2022. Its body is not a restyling of something that existed before, but is a completely new development, not inferior in aggressiveness to leading foreign manufacturers. Judging by the photo, there will be a huge number of all kinds of air intakes, smooth relief transitions, stylish lighting equipment and less significant decorative elements that create an interesting and bright appearance.
The engine of the new product will be located in the rear of the body, which will make the front end relatively small and give it a slope to improve aerodynamic characteristics and visibility. The abundance of relief, which flaunts over the entire area of the hood, also contributes to the achievement of these same goals. Along the edges, slightly below the cover, are stylish elongated arrows of head optics, which, regardless of the configuration, will contain high-quality LED lights.
Below you can find many intersecting air intake systems of an interesting configuration and slightly recessed into the body. In the middle there is a large chrome Lada badge. The face of the Lada Raven 2022 ends with a small body kit, which features even more prominent transitions, decorative plates with a different color from the rest of the body color, as well as other decorations that give the car a bright, futuristic look.
In profile, the new body looks no less interesting. It seems low, but it increases significantly towards the bottom. In addition, a serious expansion can be observed in the front part, and this is due to the presence of large wheel arches and enlarged rims. The top of it all will get bright but small windows without any decoration. Among the additional elements, only rounded rear-view mirrors with turn signal repeaters can be noted. Below begins a wavy relief, multi-level inserts painted in different colors, as well as air intake slots that deliver air flows to both the engine and brakes.
The rear of the car was particularly aggressive. It is expanded to the maximum possible size and decorated with a large number of small but bright elements. The sloping roof of the car goes into a small trunk with a modest relief and air intakes for cooling the power plant. Below you can find decorative panels of the color that a particular customer prefers. Under all this you can find angry, stylish optics in the form of inclined stripes, as well as thin lines of brake lights. In the center of the bumper you can find a large “hump”, around which there are slots of different sizes and shapes that conduct air flows to very hot technical elements. The lower part of the bumper received large exhaust pipes and a sporty diffuser.

You need to be able to blow fog beautifully!
During 2015 alone, well-known automobile concerns and factories splashed out so many ideas to the public - enough for the next 20 years, you don’t have to worry about the correct development of the global automotive industry. There is capitalism without concepts - no image, no sales, no business. The main players in the automotive industry understand this perfectly and work according to the following scheme:
- Creating an original, unique idea - unusual design plus technical innovation.
- Preparing a concept car as an application to claim to be in the mainstream.
- The fastest possible construction of a working prototype, to convince the public of the viability of both the company’s artists and production facilities.
- Preparation of a pre-production prototype.
- Putting the former concept on production line.
How quickly the production works and how tight the connections are in the company and how well the design departments, design bureaus and production workers work, depends on the final result. There are a million examples. Of course, each company creates fog in its own way, inevitably wishful thinking. There is nothing wrong with this; the public has fun playing with conceptualism and its visualization. But blowing fog is a great art; unfortunately, the automobile plant in Togliatti did not comprehend it.
Right to concept
Actually, we started the whole conversation with the fact that the young talented designer Dima Lazarev drew a car, as he imagines the car of the future. Cute sketches, way to talent. The picture won another “senks e lot” from AvtoVAZ and rumors and gossip began to spread that in the secret basements and bunkers of Tolyatti a unique concept car was already roaring with numerous cylinders, just about ready to replace the Lada Granta on the assembly line.
To the credit of the domestic automobile plant, it must be said that they do not lay claim to this concept and have nothing to do with the creation of this picture. The plant does not plan to develop even a prototype of this car, not to mention plans for serial production of the Lada Raven. The price of the project is so cosmic that the plant would have to go deeply into debt and sell not only to Nissan, Renault or Fiat, but also make an unprincipled deal with its conscience and sell to General Motors. Therefore, there cannot be two opinions regarding the car plant’s picture drawn by Dmitry Lazarev. This is not a concept, not a concept car, not a show car, not a VAZ project, but just a drawing.
Raven without Lada
The idea appeared on a computer screen three years ago, a lot of time has passed. As a concept, the car is already hopelessly outdated, so interest is fueled by the traditional VAZ information blockade, which was clearly visible in the example of a car sparkling with X-rays. This can be seen not from fragmentary and incoherent publications that the first weld has already been made on the production body of the Lada Xray.
In fact, while the hype around the concept drawn by Steve Mattin was going on, it was possible to update the entire model range of the plant and launch a couple of new models. This is five whole years of an artificially inflated advertising campaign from scratch. The result is a clumsy and awkward car from a fairly modern concept for 2009.
Prospects for Lada Raven
The Lada Raven, on the other hand, does not pretend to be embodied in metal or even in sculptural plasticine, so one can only fantasize about the technical characteristics, engine placement and operation of the Kalinov suspension at high super speeds.
We have no right to talk about the design of this car, since it is simply the fruit of the creative flight of a talented technical artist and nothing more. The picture has a lot of knots and eclectic moves, however, at the time of its creation the car was not devoid of originality. Again, this is not the work of a professional automotive designer-manufacturer, so any complaints here are simply inappropriate.
We will wait for new discoveries from the designer, which may give hope to fans of the Tolyatti plant. Enjoy watching and don't get distracted from reality. Especially when driving Grants.

Perspectives Lada Raven. The Lada Raven in no way pretends to be embodied in metal or even in sculptural plasticine, so let’s talk about technical characteristics.
The prerequisite for this was the Lada Raven supercar concept, which was proposed by Russian designer Dmitry Lazarev. The main feature of the Lada Raven supercar concept. Nothing has been reported about the technical characteristics of the concept.

Making a light bulb And this lesson is an addition to the previous one. All designers from A to Z. Based on the current frame, I would say that compositionally it is not worth driving the car with its muzzle into the edge of the sheet. In general, what difference does it make, it’s still a concept, it will remain so on paper. And here’s the thing, the Lada is definitely not an example here - you sit behind the wheel in the pose of an orangutan, there’s a freaking step in the trunk and just “phenomenal” reliability..
LADA RAVEN
Will not go into production. I'm already with you:. And there’s a great joke about the Russian concept of roads. For almost a week now, Russia has been discussing the Lada Raven concept car, photographs of which were published on the Internet. The whole country heroically survived the era of AvtoVAZ’s dominance, and so far during the entire existence of the Lada brand, not a single concept has been brought to the production line, let alone a moving model in metal.
Let's hope that it will go into production and be affordable, in the morning and in the auto industry, noses are strangers! Well, shkololo, it’s like being disabled, pah-pah-pah can happen to anyone. So far there are no trends.
Why then are these various aerodynamic openings on the doors and bumper needed at all if the speed of the car is minimal? So these are nothing more than drawings.. Pattern of car covers...

Supercar Raven is related to AvtoVAZ, video depicting LADA Raven
The following publications appeared in some media on November 15 and 16, 2014: “Perhaps in a few years VAZ will release its first supercar. A suitable concept already exists.” Let us note right away: the LADA Raven project really exists. Although, the question is what exactly is considered a project. If we talk only about the design project, that is, about 3D models, then, of course, anyone can see the Raven supercar. The media is now talking about a supercar concept that has the LADA nameplate on it, which means that this concept belongs to AvtoVAZ. Let's try to clarify.
Comments on the project from its author
Dmitry Lazarev is a Russian designer who is the author and developer of the appearance of the concept, called Raven. The first photos, which are the result of 3D modeling, were published by the author in November 2013. These images are still freely available today. Work on the project was carried out more according to the mood, rather than according to any pre-established requirements. This can be understood from the author's comment:
“The LADA Raven concept car was modeled in Blender. The work began in 2012, namely on August 30th. Then, the project was abandoned for some time... And then, after so much time (in November 2013), the decision came to shake off the dust from the file.”
The photos we are talking about have been on the Internet for almost one year (since 11/21/13):

There's even a website where the Raven concept image can be scrolled 360 degrees.
What does AvtoVAZ have to do with it?
What is this concept that no one has heard of? The news text contains only one name – LADA Raven. But can one really believe that AvtoVAZ has anything to do with the Raven project? Let's leave this question open.
This is what LADA Raven might look like in reality
Some time ago, another unexpected project was reported, also allegedly being implemented by the Volzhsky Automobile Plant. Then we were talking about a convertible from the Granta family. All such messages, however, dated back to the beginning of April. And one could guess that in reality we are talking about an April Fool's joke.
A convertible car cannot be created on the basis of a regular sedan or coupe by simply removing the roof. After such a “modernization” the body will be bent in half.
Among those VAZ projects that are actually preparing to be launched into series, one can name the hatchback of the Lada Granta family, which is designated by the abbreviation GT. The car will receive luxury equipment suitable for long trips.

The first Ukrainian supercar: what does Lada Raven have to do with it? - auto News
“This is not a Ukrainian supercar! This is the Lada Raven concept!” — the Internet community is seething with indignation. Which is partly right: there really are similarities in the features of the Chimera and Raven... And the Austrians from Milano Automobile also showed a similar layout. Did three different designers actually draw identical cars? We decided to figure it out.
Lada Raven: the story of a Bashkir nugget
In 2014, then unknown to anyone, Dmitry Lazarev drew a curious car: a young designer from the city of Salavat tried to imagine the appearance of... the first supercar of the Lada brand! The car called “Raven” (English Raven - Raven) attracted the attention of the online public, and replicated pictures scattered across websites and forums.
The aspiring designer even submitted a bright project to the official competition of sketches of new Lada cars, organized by the Russian auto giant. However, soon... he withdrew his work. As Lazarev assures, he was disappointed by the conditions of the competition, when the judges are not members of an authoritative jury, but network users. Dmitry wanted an expert assessment of his concept.
Milano Red: what is the connection between Austria and Crimea?
After some time, the Austrian company Milano Automobile became interested in the work of the Bashkir author, which decided to use a virtual model to create a completely new supercar, Milano Red. The parties shook hands. At the same time, it was possible to agree that part of the design and engineering work would be carried out... in Crimea.
On the Russian side, the project participant is the Sevastopol group, which includes the Tsel experimental design bureau. The latter will become a platform for the work of engineers and designers: “For them, this is pure business,” Crimeans comment on the Austrians’ interest.
Himera Q: watch your hands!
With the almost identical Lada Raven and Milano Red, it’s clear that they were drawn by the same person. But why does the first Ukrainian supercar Himera Q look like both the Lada Raven and the Milano Red? “Auto Mail.Ru” asked this question to the direct hero of these events - Dmitry Lazarev. Who believes that someone Andrei Dzhazovsky is now “making this project through deception”!
Andrey Dzhazovsky is a native of Ukraine now living in Monaco, on whose order several bright replica cars were built on modern chassis (for example, a coupe stylized as a GAZ-21 on BMW units). In 2014, he began work on his own supercar project, to which he managed to attract several large companies.
This is how the designer describes the story. After the Internet debut of the Lada Raven, Dzhazovsky offered Lazarev the position of designer in his company: the businessman was just about to begin production of the “first Ukrainian supercar” - the same Himera Q - and considered that the sensational work of the young author could well serve as an excellent basis for this project.
I was offered cooperation on good terms, I agreed. I handed them the files and they started making a model of the car. It's time to sign the contract. But our verbal agreements were not written down on paper! They just wanted to ditch me... I left the project
Dmitry Lazarev
designer
According to Dzhazovsky, the situation was different. The young man was paid for the work of creating sketches, but before signing the employment contract, Lazarev demanded that the conditions be changed: for each car sold, the designer wanted to receive 20% of its value (approximately 140,000 euros). Having received a refusal, the young man simply stopped communicating...
When Dmitry “left the project”, or, more simply put, disappeared, we continued our work. They hired other people. From the first sketches only the general idea remained, but the proportions and details were seriously redone, so the Chimera is no Lada Raven
Andrey Dzhazovsky
businessman
As the businessman assures, while he was building the first model, the author of the sketches considered that he was allowed to sell his concept to anyone. Therefore, as soon as the Austrians became interested in “Raven,” the artist, without hesitation, transferred all the developments to them. As a result, cars that are indecently similar to each other are being prepared for production - Himera Q and Milano Red.
Milano Red and Himera Q: who is first?
Who is right? Both sides are ready to go to court to prove their case. But Dzhazovsky has an extremely compelling argument on his side: the businessman has patented a utility model of a supercar—in other words, he has obtained the rights to the design of the car. In turn, the designer believes that the documents were drawn up illegally and “the European patent may be revoked.”
In Europe, to determine whether an industrial design (design) is new and original, patent examinations are not carried out - there is only a check for the correctness of the application and payment of the fee. After such an “examination,” the sample is registered and published; accordingly, any interested person can try to challenge the applicant’s rights.
It is curious that Milano Automobile also tried to file a patent for the appearance of its supercar (Auto Mail.Ru has copies at its disposal). But just this week, Andrei Dzhazovsky’s lawyers managed to cancel the document. At the same time, Dmitry Lazarev continues to insist that he is right.
An agreement was signed with the Austrians. The concept is in the process of creation, the best specialists are working on it... Who is Andrey Dzhazovsky? All the information that he spreads over the network is just a lie, there is not a word of truth there
Dmitry Lazarev
designer
However, it is the “Chimera” that has a chance to appear earlier than the Milano Red: the commercial version of the “first Ukrainian supercar” is promised to be shown this fall. A certain Spanish company will assemble the model. They want to ask about 700,000 euros for the electric version, and later a “simpler” car will appear - with a gasoline engine from the Audi R8 and a price of about 500,000 euros.
For Chimera, we plan to use graphene batteries, but we are also looking into installing Ukrainian-made supercapacitors. In general, Himera is just the beginning: the Xeno sports car and a whole family of compact city electric vehicles are ahead
Andrey Dzhazovsky
businessman
They promise to equip the electric version with four electric motors (one for each wheel) with a total power of 1000 hp. and a graphene superbattery with a capacity of 86 kWh, which should provide a range of 750-1000 km. The main thing is that legal squabbles do not put an end to this undoubtedly beautiful car. After all, “the first Ukrainian supercar” sounds proud!
PS Arman Akopyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Peak Vector JSC (Russian partner of Milano Automobile), confirmed to Auto Mail.Ru that the company will continue to fight for the rights to the supercar design: “The authorship of the car belongs to Dmitry Lazarev. And the Ukrainian comrades simply stole the design. We will seek justice through the courts!”

Interior
It is still unclear what will be found in the interior of the new Lada Raven 2022 model year, however, it is clear that it will be equipped with decent materials, which will probably include high-quality leather, carbon and aluminum inserts, as well as Alcantara and good plastic. The multimedia system and seats will certainly meet the owners' requirements for cars of this class.
Control and management bodies
Most likely, the center console will be a combination of a digital dashboard and an entertainment center display that protrudes strongly towards the driver. The steering wheel will be made in a pronounced sporty style: small in size and original shape with lining at the bottom and an abundance of buttons on the spokes.
There is reason to assume that the central tunnel will also receive a developed technical unit, headed by the transmission selector, but enough space will be given to comfortable elements here: in addition to cup holders and an organizer, a convenient armrest with a content cooling function will be available.
Seating
The dimensions of the new product will allow you to place only two people in the cabin, in the most comfortable buckets, which, moreover, will ensure the safety of passengers. The following options will be offered: heating, ventilation, precise settings with position memory function and many others.
There is no need to talk about the volume of the trunk yet, but it is clear that even it cannot be called average: the maximum that it will be able to take is a couple of sports bags - and that’s all.
Exterior
The designers do not hide the fact that the possible founder of the dynasty of Russian sports cars is initially focused on the needs of the youth driving community. The configuration and layout of the body are dominated by details of the sporty-aggressive style characteristic of the design of supercars from leading automobile brands.
In particular, in the photo of the front side of the front end of the Lada Raven 2019, it shows an equal number of functional and decorative body elements. The rear-engine body layout made it possible to optimize the shape, angle and dimensions of the front end.
- In view is the compact racing format of the windshield and the embossed hood, under which is located the volume of a small luggage compartment. Most of the front end area is occupied by the air intakes of the engine compartment ventilation systems and the disc brake mechanisms of the front axle.
- The class of the car assumes LED or laser fittings, complemented by the flourishes of running lights of narrow LED optics.
- Anti-fog lighting is represented by red LED strips built into the side air diffusers. The layout of the front end is complemented by ribbed elements of the aerodynamic body relief.
The new body of the supercar concept looks dynamic and futuristic in the side view. The sports status of the new product is confirmed by:
- gentle slope of the roof and windshield;
- high line of side windows;
- low-slung body and voluminous wheel arches with racing titanium wheels.
The general style is consistent with the configuration of the reverse view mirrors and doorways, the shape of additional air intakes and aerodynamic longitudinal wave reliefs. The flying silhouette of the body is emphasized by decorative inserts.
- The design of the rear side of the rear-engine body of the Lada Raven 2022 is exclusive in every way. In the central part there is a volumetric protrusion of the engine compartment equipped with hatches and covers.
- On one line there are huge diffusers separated by elements of the body structure, equipped with side lights and fog lamps.
- Contrary to the principles of the standard layout, dual large-caliber exhaust pipe tips are located in the central part of the bumper.
Despite its relatively compact dimensions, the new sports car, if it has decent power characteristics, will receive all the data for successful competition with analogues in a higher price category.
