It's simple: on the 25th, the presentation of the car continued at the Lada Tekhinkom MKAD dealership 47 km, where we made the long-awaited purchase. But in addition, the finish line of a certain autoquest with the participation of West and another competitive event was scheduled there. It’s not just that during Vesta Night we were given the keys to our car by no less than Steve Mattin himself, the chief designer of AvtoVAZ and the author of Vesta’s appearance! And we didn’t even know in advance that Steve would be at the presentation at “our” dealership...

As a result, because of all these celebrations, the dealer was only able to actually start processing the car we purchased and prepare it for pre-sale only on Thursday.

The manager called before lunch. But we were able to drive up only after it was over (Moscow traffic jams can turn any trip around the city into a real journey, with a corresponding investment of time). Our white Vesta was already waiting in the delivery area. And - surprise! — it turned out not on the expected “stamping” with 15-inch wheels, but on the fashionable 16-inch casting. It’s good that we didn’t order winter tires in advance...

But the question arose of where to buy one. I didn’t want to take anything. But still, the dealer found a suitable option: winter friction tires Bridgestone Blizzak VRX, which we already tested last winter at Rapid. Their cost, of course, turned out to be slightly higher than in online stores. But there you still have to find the necessary tires and wait either for delivery or for the opportunity to pick them up. Moscow, of course, is not Siberia, but there weren’t any of us who liked to drive even for a day or two on summer tires at the end of November, so we decided to change our shoes on the spot.

By the way, a set of summer tires, and they turned out to be Matador Elite3, which have a fairly good rating according to reviews in our tire catalog, were able to fit in full in the trunk of Vesta. Not perfect, not without witchcraft with the layout of the installation, but they did it.

We also immediately purchased rugs - although they are an additional option, they are useful.

As a result, the cost of retrofitting the car amounted to 29,800 rubles. (tires, tire mounting and mats).

OSAGO insurance cost another almost 18 thousand. And this figure came as a slight shock. Yes, we took out a policy without restrictions on the number of drivers, and even with the Moscow territorial coefficient and without discounts for accident-free behavior (the car is new!). But last year, for the same price, it was possible to find a comprehensive insurance policy for a thrifty driver for a car of the same level. But since spring, as you know, compulsory motor liability insurance has become more expensive. And now we know for sure that significantly...

We left the dealer's salon in the evening, when it got dark. As in Krasnoyarsk, we were introduced to a personal manager (an employee of the car plant), who promised to answer questions about the car 24 hours a day. It’s only a pity that the previously promised five-year warranty for Vesta “did not work”: as our manager explained, the Renault Nissan alliance, which, as you know, owns the majority of AvtoVAZ shares, did not allow such a guarantee as being contrary to the alliance’s unified warranty policy. It's a pity. But now it’s definitely clear that foreign countries don’t care about us, and business is business...

By the way, in “our” DC we were the first to pick up our Vesta: all the other 15 cars from the first batch that arrived at the dealer were seen in full force in front of the car dealership, in the showroom and at the warehouse site. When we left, the odometer showed just over twenty kilometers. But now he is, of course, more...

At the time of publication of this post, we hope that we will be able to issue a comprehensive insurance policy (so far the prices for it are also not encouraging: in Moscow, even with restrictions on age and minimum experience of drivers, the cost of a policy without a franchise for our Vesta is about 70 thousand rubles). And I was able to sign up for car registration only on Sunday (what can I do: there is apparently a crisis outside, cars are being bought in batches, and there are queues at the traffic police because of this).
