Dashboard Lada Vesta
On a Lada Vesta, the instrument cluster is very different from older Lada models. Therefore, this description will help you understand the meanings of indicators and instrument readings.
- Tachometer. Shows the engine crankshaft speed (x1000 min-1). The presence of the tachometer needle in the red scale area warns of increased engine speed. To prevent damage to the engine, its maximum speed is limited by the electronic engine management system software. Above approximately 6200 min-1 the fuel supply will be limited. Possible interruptions in engine operation and jolts in the movement of the vehicle are not a malfunction. When the rotation speed decreases, the fuel supply will resume. Also, do not allow the engine to operate when starting and while driving at an engine speed below 800 min-1. (ATTENTION! It is prohibited to operate the engine in a dangerous mode (at engine crankshaft speeds above 6200 min-1 and below 800 min-1).

Possible faults
If the Lada Vesta instrument panel begins to work intermittently, this may indicate the following malfunctions:
- Poor contact between the device and the on-board network. The connection connector or contacts on it may be damaged.
- Failure of one or more sensors. For example, the sensor for speed, crankshaft position, or fuel level has broken down, resulting in incorrect data being displayed on the dashboard.
- Mechanical damage to the shield may be due to a strong impact or operation of the device under conditions of constant vibration.
- Electronic malfunction of the board; it is better to entrust the solution to such a malfunction to electricians.
- The backlight is gone. Most likely, the reason lies in burnt-out light bulbs that simply need to be replaced (the author of the video is the NlCKRUS channel).

For Lada Vesta steering switches
Switches under the steering wheel on a Lada Vesta car are used to control the glass washer and wipers, turn signals, as well as to control the light.
Let's start with the right steering column switch. The main functions are control of the windshield wipers and washer. Control:
Pull towards yourself - pour water on the windshield, the wipers will make up to three strokes (depending on the time of watering)
Pull down - quickly clear the windshield, one wiper cycle
Switch up one step (—) - intermittent operation of the wipers with variable intensity. The interval between wiper strokes is adjusted using a rotating wheel.
Switch up two steps (1) - intermittent wiper operation with low glass cleaning speed (long pause between wiper strokes)
Switch up three steps (2) - intermittent wiper operation with high glass cleaning speed (short pause between wiper strokes)
Now the left steering column switch. The main function is to control turn signals, lighting, headlights and flashlights. Controls: Pull up - turn on the right turn signal;
CMGAISD
Early June 2022
CMGAISD announced that they have begun work on creating an electronic dashboard for Vesta. Brief specification: 1920x720px screen the size of a standard 1 in 1 device, certified data reception via CAN bus.
The development or stop of this project depends only on the availability of demand. You can pre-order now at a reduced price of 25,000 rubles. It is noted that after release the electronic panel will cost more. It is also planned to release a dashboard with a 3D accelerator for 35,000 rubles.
Update 12/27/19
: The CMG company has published another video in which they talk about the fact that the electronic instrument cluster for the Lada Vesta is almost ready. It is noted that the hardware issue has been resolved. The screen will be matte (without glare) of two types (inexpensive and more expensive). Owners of this shield will have the opportunity to choose a skin at will (for example, choose a panel skin for a Lada, Audi or BMW). There is no need to modify anything to connect the electronic instrument panel. The new instrument cluster should be installed on the test car before the new year. The cost was announced, it will be about 15,000 rubles.
Update 01/22/2020
: The development of the CMGAISD group to create an electronic instrument cluster is close to completion. The panel is already being tested on the car, the last shortcomings are being finalized. Two versions will be presented: a cheap one (the price will be about 15,000 rubles) and a more expensive one. The budget version will be available for purchase in February - March, and sales of the TOP version of the device are planned for April - May of this year.

Update 09/08/2020
: Small-scale production of digital panels for Lada Vesta and Lada XRAY has been announced. The first shipment to customers will be tomorrow. The Lada.Online website was informed about this by CMGAISD. The price of the instrument cluster for Vesta is 35,000 rubles, for Lada XRAY - 37,000 rubles (due to the presence of an additional module).

All controllers are developed independently on a reliable imported element base, taking into account the requirements of use in cars at temperatures from -28°C to +70°C.
The instrument cluster is connected to the standard connector. When installing, you will have to slightly modify the mount in the dashboard (everything needed for this is included in the kit). For convenient setup of the shield, a special mobile application is provided. The Internet is connected via WiFi or USB modem. It is possible to change skins (interface design). The digital panel turns on instantly, the developer has made a shutdown delay of 12 hours (instant if the break between starts is no more than 12 hours).
Thus, the CMGAISD group was the first to launch small-scale production of digital panels for LADA models.
From November 2020
years began selling a digital panel (series 2). The main feature is the new screen, which now has a resolution of 1920x720px.

Lada Vesta pedals
On a model with an automatic transmission there are two pedals: the leftmost is the brake and the right is the gas.
On a model with a manual transmission there are three pedals: the leftmost is the clutch, in the middle is the brake, and the rightmost is the gas.
Dismantling
First you need to remove the glove box. To do this, you need to open the box and then press out the plastic hooks that secure the top of the lid.
Then you need to pull the cover towards you. It is held in place by 3 clamps from below. You just need to pull and the cover will come off.
The next step is to remove the glove compartment light, which is located in the upper left corner. First, you need to press out the lampshade using a knife or a thin screwdriver, and then disconnect the wires.
When you are done with the lampshade, you will need to unscrew 5 screws using a Torx T20 sprocket and remove the glove compartment.

The controls for the stove and air conditioner on Vesta are basically standard.
Left regulator - control of the supply air temperature (The left regulator additionally has the function of turning on the air conditioner); Right - air flow regulation; Buttons in the middle - set the direction of air flow.

Adjusting the front seats on Lada Vesta
The height and degree of inclination of the front seats on the Lada Vesta are adjusted using three levers.
They are located on the outside. Two of them are in the horizontal part of the seat, and one is in the vertical (back).
1st lever (longer): when pressed up and down, the seats are adjusted in height - this is a seat lift. 2nd lever: it adjusts the backrest angle.
The 3rd lever provides the degree of lumbar deflection.
It is worth noting that levers 1 and 3 are missing on the passenger seat. Adjustment back and forth occurs via the lower lever, which is located under the seat, on the outside.
Do-it-yourself firmware
You need to be aware that all actions are performed at your own peril and risk. No one can guarantee that after installing the firmware yourself, the device will work correctly. To prevent this outcome, it is recommended to update the panel either at an authorized dealer or at specialized service stations.
There is no need to confuse the panel firmware with the multimedia firmware - these are different devices.
The cost of such a service varies from 1,500 to 2,500 thousand rubles. This is much cheaper than buying a new shield to replace a damaged one yourself. For dismantling and reflashing, the warranty may be revoked if the procedure is not carried out by an authorized dealer. If you decide to update the software yourself, you will need to make a backup copy of the standard firmware, then prepare the necessary tools:
- A device for flashing Usbdm OSBDM V4.95 - can be ordered on AliExpress, the cost is approximately 600-700 rubles.
- Install drivers and software for Windows from the disk included with the programmer.
- Dismantle the instrument panel, peel off the factory seal, and remove the cover from the back.
- Open the programmer and move the checkbox to the 3.3V position - at this voltage you will not need an external power source.
- Connect to the dashboard and PC.
- On a computer or laptop, open the HCS12 Programmer program, select and click on the “Detected” item.
- Go to the “Target” item and select the folder with the location of the firmware, check the box next to the “Auto Reload” item, then click on “Detect Chip”. The programmer will determine the chip type automatically.
- Go to the “Security” tab and check the “Unsecure” box.
- In the “Advanced” tab, check the “Enable” box.
- In the “Device Operations” section on the “Target” tab, select the “Erase Selective” item - only the firmware will be replaced, the immobilizer data and mileage will be saved.
Now you can click on the “Program Flash” button - the firmware process will start. This will last a few seconds. After completion, when prompted by the program to connect the dashboard, click “No”. The flashing device can be turned off and the instrument panel replaced.
Ferrum Group
At the end of November 2022, it became known that intensive preparation was underway for a joint project between Ferrum Group and MITYADRIVE - an instrument cluster with a large TFT display for Lada Vesta and XRAY under the code name GF949M (MITYADRIVE).
The Lada.Online website managed to find out some details of this project:
- Operating system of our own development (not Android).
- Startup time is instant.
- Temperature conditions up to -36 o C.
- The instrument panel with TFT display already has a certificate of conformity.
- It will be possible to install various skins that will be patented.
- There will be four configurations in total (from simple to the most advanced).
- Sales start at the beginning of 2022.
- The Luxe version with a curved screen will be available by the end of 2021.
- Approximate cost: from RUR 37,700. The price includes tire pressure sensors or parking sensors (optional).
