There are wear indicators on the tread, including one-sided ones, thanks to which the driver sees that the wheel alignment angle is incorrect and the car requires wheel alignment. There are also two modifications offered here, each with a different number of ring grooves: with three – in the line of passenger sizes, with four, for cars in the SUV category.
Uniroyal RainMax 3	The Belgian company Uniroyal also belongs to the Continental concern. It positions itself as a manufacturer of rain tires, which is the new RainMax 3 model. The tread design is asymmetrical, with enlarged shoulder areas, which provide stability when driving in a straight line and when maneuvering, including on water. The tire is soft, with an elastic double tread coating and comfortable acoustics. In general, if you believe the advertising, it’s not a tire, but a car enthusiast’s dream. Time will tell how much the declared properties of the model correspond to reality.
Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5	The American concern Goodyear presented a new version of the Eagle F1 model - Asymmetric 5. The asymmetrical pattern immediately reveals the high-speed qualities of tires, which are usually installed on cars with the “sport” prefix. · The main changes concern the rubber mixture used in the production of tires, optimization of the composition of which has led to improved braking performance on wet roads. · Another cord appeared in the tire breaker, made of a polymer material – aramid. It is not inferior in strength to steel cord, has less weight and at the same time makes the tire more resistant to wear. · Thanks to it, the tire, which could always boast of excellent characteristics, began to hold the road even better at high speeds and ensure the highest directional stability of the car. Two new products from Bridgestone – Potenza and Turanza	When developing the Potenza S007A model, which is another new product for the 2022 season, the Japanese company Bridgestone also took an asymmetrical design as a basis. Increased width “shoulders” with rigid ribs and inclined grooves on them prevent the occurrence of deformations from loads and improve the tire’s grip on the road when cornering. Four circumferential grooves effectively drain water away from the contact patch, minimizing the risk of slipping on wet asphalt. Another premium new product has been released for Asian countries – Bridgestone Turanza T005A. This line of tires has always been of excellent quality, and there are no boundaries for a good product. Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 K127	One cannot ignore the new product from the South Korean company Hankook, whose products have always been distinguished by an adequate price and excellent quality. Time will tell whether the Ventus S1 evo3 K127 medium class tire, which was developed in Germany by Hanoverian engineers, will be able to repeat the success of the previous model (K-117), which became the most successful product of this manufacturer. In any case, in tests conducted by the German magazine Auto Bild, this tire showed good results. Out of 20 participants, it became 8th in braking, 3rd in handling on dry asphalt, leaving behind all the premium new products, which were also discussed above. In braking on wet asphalt, Hankuk generally took first place, but on wet roads, as well as in acoustics and fuel efficiency, it moved to the middle of the list.
Nokian Wetproof	A new product from the Finnish manufacturer Nokian, the Wetproof model, worked exactly the opposite in the same test drive. In handling and braking on dry and wet asphalt, it showed far from the best results; in longitudinal aquaplaning, it was generally penultimate. But in terms of acoustic comfort, it has no equal - and this once again proves that there is no such thing as the best tire, and it all depends on what specific properties are your priority. If you often drive long distances, then Nokian Wetproof is exactly what you need.
Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51	The Japanese company Yokohama Rubber Co also did not leave the coming season without new products. One of them was a model for middle-class sedans, which is Vesta, BluEarth-GT AE51, the ride comfort of which is ensured by a rigid design and soft rubber composition with a two-layer tread. In general, everything is as always: the manufacturer promises mountains of gold: fuel efficiency, tire stability on wet roads, and ride comfort - but time will tell how it will actually be.
