Why the Daewoo Nexia won't start: the starter turns, the pump works, there is a spark

There can be a great many reasons for engine failure, since as many systems and electrical circuits there are, there are just as many chances to fail to start. Today we will look into a fairly common situation: the Daewoo Nexia engine does not start, although there is gas, the starter turns properly, the battery is charged and there is a spark at the spark plugs. Nevertheless, here too, reasons can be added, but there may be other reasons. Let's try to consider at least the most obvious ones.

Why does the engine on the Daewoo Nexia not start?

The key is turned, the fuel pump is noisy, the lights are on, but the engine does not catch - what is the reason?

By eye we can only establish the presence of a spark, but we cannot measure its strength (especially in the conditions of a combustion chamber, there may be a spark in air, but under pressure in the chamber the spark plugs may not produce a spark). In addition, the correctness of the moment of spark formation in this case is questionable.

Ignition system

Therefore, we do this:

  1. Candles . There may be a weak spark at the spark plugs at atmospheric pressure, but there may be no spark in the combustion chamber. In this case, after trying to start, the spark plug will be wet. To eliminate the possibility of spark plugs failing, we screw in a kit that is known to work.

Dirty spark plugs.

When replacing wires, ensure that they are connected correctly.

Timing belt and marks

It's easy to check. For an 8-valve car, we combine the mark on the crankshaft pulley, the mark on the clutch flywheel with the marks on the timing cover and the boss on the clutch housing. Same story with the camshaft. The marks must match perfectly. If the belt has jumped at least one tooth or is critically stretched, the ECU will not be able to supply a spark in time, and the fuel supply will also be incorrect.

Camshaft drive gear failure

It is extremely rare, but there are situations when the camshaft drive gear pin on an 8-valve engine breaks. In this case, the gear rotates, but the shaft stands still. You can determine such a breakdown by checking the compression in the cylinders. If the fears are confirmed, there will be no compression in the cylinders or there will be a very large variation, depending on the position in which the camshaft stops.

Power system and sensors

If the pressure drops critically, fuel will not be supplied to the cylinders, and if it is, it will be in insufficient quantities. To eliminate the possibility of a breakdown of the power system, we will check the pressure in the fuel rail. In garage conditions, you can simply remove the hose from the entrance to the ramp: if gasoline splashes, then the pressure is normal or so, but if a few drops flow out of the hose, there can be no question of any pressure. There is a direct path to the gas pump.

Any of the sensors can also cause a failure. For example, the crankshaft position sensor does not provide an impulse to the ECU, therefore, the electronics cannot correctly calculate the ignition timing and spark timing. These are just the most basic reasons why, if there is fuel and a spark, the engine may not start. Basic ones, but they cover more than 80% of engine failures.

It is also worth remembering when the fuel filters were changed. If the filters are clogged, fuel simply physically cannot flow at the required pressure and in the required quantity. It will be useful to check not only the fuel pump and filters, but the entire fuel line for leaks

It is worth paying attention to the air filter - if it is clogged, the mixture will not be able to ignite. This is easy to check - you need to remove the filter element from the housing and try to start the engine

Contacts and ECU firmware

Of course, failures in the firmware of the electronic control unit can also cause failures and jerks during acceleration. The state of the firmware is checked only on a diagnostic stand, and amendments to the software can only be made by a proven, intelligent diagnostician. However, there may also be elementary causes of software failures caused by missing contacts, oxidation of terminals or crimping in factory wiring harnesses.

Set for soldering crimps and twists: 1-lighter or soldering iron, 2-solder paste or rosin, 3-low-melting solder

Many people were helped by diagnosing and soldering the engine compartment harness and thoroughly checking the contacts on the connectors of all motor sensors. Checking the terminal blocks is not that difficult, but you will have to tinker with the soldering of the harness. To do this, we find all the places of twists and crimps, carefully tin them and solder them again, having first put heat shrink on the wire. You can solder with either a regular soldering iron or low-melting solder and a turbo lighter. We do not bite the factory crimps out of the bundle, but carefully tin them if access is possible.

Serious faults

Nexia is a pretty reliable car, but sooner or later its strength may disappear, for example, with a broken timing belt. The Nexia may not start due to a broken belt, in which case prepare money for a major engine overhaul.

Nexia may not start due to low compression in the cylinders. This happens with fairly long runs over 250 thousand kilometers. Also, a burnt valve can be the reason why you won’t start the car.

There is a method that will show you with 99 percent accuracy that your engine is already “tired” due to which the compression has decreased or one of the valves has burned out.

Unscrew the spark plugs and use a syringe to add 250 milliliters of engine oil to each cylinder. Screw the spark plugs back in and try to start the car. If everything works out, then the problem is the wear of the piston rings and a lot of wear in the cylinders.

If the method was not successful, then it seems that one of the valves has burned out.

An even more serious problem is that the engine was overheated. After overheating, the head moves to the side, which makes proper operation and starting difficult.

Why is the EGR valve turned off?

It continues to operate normally, but exhaust gases no longer flow into the intake manifold because the path is blocked by a missing hole in the new gasket. The second way to disable EGR is to cut out a plug instead of the valve. It's a little more complicated here, but the result will be similar. It is necessary to remove the valve and, using it as a template, cut out a plug from steel or aluminum. The resulting plate is installed instead of the valve.

Plus, you can even buy such a plug! Here is its catalog number: But you can cut out such a cover yourself, there is nothing complicated here. When disconnecting the valve, also do not forget that the ECU monitors its serviceability on Euro engines. If you decide to completely remove the valve by disconnecting the connector from it, the engine fault lamp will light up on the instrument panel. As practice shows, on Euro-2 cars the lamp does not light up; the main thing is not to turn off the vacuum supply solenoid valve.

And the tube that goes from the intake manifold to the solenoid valve can be plugged with a small screw.

The fact is that two types of this valve are installed on Chevrolet Lanos. On cars up to the Euro-2 production year, a vacuum valve is installed with a separate electric valve, which is responsible for supplying vacuum.

Such a valve looks like this: On a Chevrolet Lanos after the Euro-3 year of production, the valve is slightly different.

Its dynamics completely suited me, besides, it was also chipped. It took off like a bullet, no failures, delays or anything else - the reaction to opening the throttle was simply lightning fast.

G-Tuning Lanos 1.5 EGR valve plug

And so I bought a Lanos, completely stock - nothing was done to the engine except changing the oil and filters. The firmware is naturally stock, and even the 8kL A15SMS engine.

After the Nexia, the Lanos of course seemed a little weak to get up, lethargic or something... I didn’t pull away, but dulled and thought for a long time.

It was really scary at intersections - you need to take off and get through, but he thinks whether to go or not? Remove the air duct pressure chamber, see Section Fuel pressure regulator - general information, Chapter Power and exhaust systems.

Disconnect the vacuum hose from the EGR valve. Remove the EGR valve mounting bolts on the intake manifold.

Installation is in the reverse order. Do not forget to replace the sealing gasket, make sure that all fasteners are tightened with the required force. This is where the so-called exhaust gas recirculation is performed. The opening of the valve is controlled by an electronic control unit, so that gases flow in under a certain operating mode of the power unit.

For example, when starting from a standstill, this valve is closed. Then why send exhaust gases into the intake manifold at all?

In fact, the USR valve performs one single function - it adjusts the engine to the toxicity standards that apply in the modern world.

All the listed faults are normal to start on the air or from a tug, then it works for some time, then everything starts from the beginning

same garbage, did you solve the problem? If yes, how please tell me

Hello, please help. Nexia 2007 16 valves 1.5 engine volume. My cylinder head gasket was burnt out, antifreeze went into the cylinder in the garage, removed the head, took it to grind it and put on a new gasket. Everything is back, the timing belt is all clear, everything is on the marks. I tried to start it, but it probably took about 3 hours and left it overnight. The next day, I unscrewed the spark plugs and looked for a spark in one spark plug; there was no spark; I replaced it and the car started, everything worked fine; I turned it off; it started again without any problems; then it went for a ride; it pulls; it runs great; no unnecessary noise; nothing unnecessary. Jackie Chan was on fire for me all the time. Well, then Jackie Chan goes out and my gas pedal just stops reacting (almost), if you press and release, press and release,... fast all the time then it still keeps the revs in one place for some time, if you just press and hold the revs are reset and it stalls, if you release the gas pedal it also stalls, but when it stalls it doesn’t start, sometimes it starts but mostly it doesn’t start, it seems to catch on and that’s all. It will stand there for an indefinite amount of time, it might stand overnight, maybe for several hours, maybe for a few minutes, and it starts up and works for a little while (I can drive 10 kilometers, sometimes a little more) and then it just starts to choke itself while moving. I looked at the spark, there is absolutely always a spark. Fuel is constantly supplied. The timing belt is on the marks. He has everything he needs to work, but he doesn’t want to work. I don’t know where to look anymore, tell me if anyone has any thoughts on this matter.

Disconnect the DA sensor, if it works, then replace it, and this also happens if there is condensation in the muffler. We drilled a hole and it got better.

It doesn't work well when it's cold, but it works well when it's hot, what's the reason?

My Rassvet Val Nexia 1.5 broke

Hello! Nexia usually always starts, but after turning off the car, for example, the headlights are left on, the trunk may be opened, the mafon is turned on, etc., after that we want to start it, but already turning the key goes empty, at this time the speedometer works but the starter does not turn, there is a spark, in what could be the reason? Nexia 2013, 8 valves, mileage no more than 20,000 thousand, it’s still new

Hello. I was driving along the highway and suddenly the Nexia starter stalled, the power is turning, there is a spark, I started looking at it, the timing belt is torn, I changed the belt, they put it on the mark, it won’t start, please tell me.

Is the spark plug at least wet?

Few people write about the speed sensor. If the speedometer needle begins to behave incorrectly, then later you may stall and not start. I parked the car myself in the evening, and thought about it from morning until lunch. Until it dawns on you, turn off the speed sensor. It started half-turn as usual. If it helps someone I will be glad!

Nail, the valve was bent by a hundred pounds. The verdict was on capital, or engine replacement.

Consequences of jamming the USR

From this we can conclude that the USR system plays an important role in the operation of the engine. This is a whole algorithm of actions that the ECU takes to ensure CORRECT operation of the engine. Each parameter clings to another and forms a chain of necessary processes. Therefore, removing one link in this chain can destroy the entire algorithm and lead to bad consequences. It may not be noticeable right away, but then, after several thousand km, when you have already forgotten that you ever interfered with the operation of the system.

Many people put plugs in the EGR valve, but do not think about the fact that the ECU continues to open the valve as before. But the gases do not pass through, and the ECU does not see this... It continues to set the OZ stored in its memory when the USR valve was opened. I think it’s not difficult to guess what happens next... The OZ turns out to be very high for such working conditions.

Also, satisfied car owners do not even suspect that, together with the plug, they have driven fuel corrections far into the positive... After all, instead of reducing the amount of oxygen when the valve is opened, we supply the same amount of oxygen as when the valve is closed. And the oxygen sensor sees this and informs the control unit about excess oxygen in the exhaust. For the control unit, this means a lack of fuel and it begins to change the fuel corrections in the positive direction.

Then, during diagnostics, this fact will be revealed and the search for the causes of large fuel corrections will begin. They will begin to replace a serviceable fuel pump with an equally serviceable one, clean the injectors, change new filters... As a result, they will be sentenced to replace the “brains” of the engine control system. Although in this case it is not the “brains of the machine” that are to blame, but the brains of its owner...

I talked about this in the video at the end of this post.

But who needs this - the main thing is that the error does not pop up and the “check” does not light up...

I also cannot understand the expressions - “after jamming the USR, the idle speed became smooth.” This is not true, since the USR does not work at idle.

Or something like this: “I turned off the EGR valve and the car stopped twitching.” Have you ever had problems with this same valve before? In these cases, the system is simply faulty or requires cleaning!

But, again, who needs this? It’s easier to turn it off and the repair is complete...

This can be compared to a jammed brake caliper - it’s easier to remove the pads so that the wheel rotates normally, rather than doing maintenance on the caliper. So what? I saw these - they lubricated the pads with grease so that they wouldn’t rub too hard. Well, at least they didn’t brag about it on the Internet, otherwise the next day half the country would have smeared the pads with whatever God sent them.

If soot bothers you more than proper engine operation, then remove the USR valve not only physically, but also programmatically. And get ready to change the oil more often, since nitrogen oxides in the gases, breaking into the engine crankcase, will worsen the properties of the engine oil.

By the way, if a lot of carbon deposits appear from the recirculation system, then it is necessary not to turn off the USR, but to bring the engine back to normal! This is an indicator that not only the fuel-air mixture is burning in the cylinders, but also a lot of oil.

And if you decide to think about nature and do not intend to interfere with the operation of the engine, then regularly clean the system and it will not cause you problems.

A working USR system helps the engine, but a faulty one hinders it!

Air filter

For a successful engine start, it needs a sufficient amount of oxygen. The filter removes foreign impurities from the air, increasing the stability of the power unit, and usually for 1 liter of fuel, the average internal combustion engine consumes 13-15 kg of air, which is taken outside the vehicle, and also regardless of weather conditions.

If the Daewoo Nexia air cleaner element is clogged, it should be replaced to restore normal air flow. Typically, the filter resource is about 10 thousand km of vehicle mileage. At the same time, by the way, it is recommended to check the air intakes and air ducts, because they too may become clogged with foreign objects.

Hello! I have a similar problem. I bought a car for my wife, mileage 62t. I changed the timing belt, pump, contact group (after the first failure at starting, I read it on the form). Everything was fine - it started. Now after rain or any dampness it won’t start. I noticed that it starts when it’s warm in the cabin. Don't deliver early in the morning! It starts when the fuel pump relay clicks. Relay changed. The CG contacts were bridged. When not starting, there is no spark! After such dancing around the car, I remove the brand and wait for the interior to warm up. Starts up on the first push. Works smoothly. It's picking up speed. Doesn't give any errors! There is an error when driving “ignition slip”, I changed the wires and spark plugs, but the error still appears after a while. Another point: if you stomp on the gas pedal not even while moving, then when you reset you can hear the muffler “mumbling.”, and then it may throw an error. My wife drives carefully and the error rarely occurs. Where to dig how to start it!? My brain is already smoking))) Maybe a fuel pump or filter?

I had such a joke. from the 20th turn the starter engaged the engine. I thought it was a retractor - I changed it. Nothing changed. I realized that the starter will not turn on if the retractor is not working. Replaced bendex. No result. I removed the starter 10 times. everything works on the stand. The engine on the car does not catch, as if it does not reach the flywheel. I spat and bought a new starter. The result is that everything works great. I don't know what's wrong with the old starter. The riddle with the starter has not been solved, but I will solve it anyway (so it turns on completely) out of principle. It became very interesting.

Daewoo Nexia won't start

Perhaps every car owner, regardless of the make and model of his vehicle, is familiar with the unpleasant feeling of disappointment when the car refuses to start. This feeling is well known to numerous Daewoo Nexia owners. Usually the symptoms are as follows: starting the engine is very difficult, you have to turn the starter for a long time, it doesn’t grab well or starts every once in a while. Let's look at all this in more detail.

Let's say the starter turns, but the engine still won't start. This happens often, as well as a diametrical situation - when the starter does not work at all. Which of the two situations is worse is a separate story, but if a similar problem arises, the first thing to do is check the spark plugs and whether there is a spark. Try changing the spark plugs and maybe your car will start like new!

If the problem persists, you can then look at the filter, check the throttle valve, as well as the battery (for the reliability of the terminals connected to it). Also, poor starting may be due to old high-voltage wires, and, as an option, to the ignition coil, because for any power unit to start, it needs four components:

No spark

WARNING! All work with the ignition on must be carried out exclusively with insulating gloves or using pliers with insulated handles! Explosive wires should be secured especially securely, since if they accidentally fall onto a ground, housing or open area of the body, an electric shock will occur!

The absence of a spark may indicate problems in the ignition module, or in the crankshaft or camshaft position sensors. You can test their operation even at home using a diagnostic scanner. You should also check the electronic control unit and fuse relays.

Ignition coil for Daewoo Nexia

The most common scenario for a lack of spark is failure of the explosive wires or spark plugs. If they are in good condition, then you should next check the coil or ignition module.

Distributor

Sometimes, quite suddenly, Nexia refuses to start with the key. In this case, the engine starts quickly “from the pusher”. This behavior of the power plant directly indicates a malfunction in the ignition system. The cause of problems with starting with the key in pre-restyling models is usually found in the distributor.

Specialists from the South Korean company Daewoo thought for a long time about how to solve the problem of the distributor literally crumbling over time, and as a result they not only radically changed the ignition system of the 8-valve internal combustion engine, but also the fuel injection and cooling systems. The modernization led to the fact that instead of a distributor, an electronic module appeared in the ignition system.

Why is the EGR valve needed in Daewoo Lanos?

The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system is designed solely to reduce the nitrogen content in the exhaust gases. This is dealt with in different ways, but the most effective way to comply with environmental standards, according to manufacturers, remains a gas recycling system.

The meaning of using the USR system is simple: not all gases are sent immediately into the atmosphere, some of them are sent back to the combustion chamber in order to lower the combustion temperature of the mixture. And the lower the temperature, the lower the amount of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust. That's the whole task.

Scheme of operation of the gas recirculation system

The fight for the environment in itself does not cause protests from anyone. Another thing is that the recirculation system is not eternal, especially in Lanos engines, which have EGR installed in accordance with Euro-3 standards, and not Euro-2. In both engines, the service life of the USR valve is limited to 120-150 thousand, and for some it does not reach hundreds of thousands of mileage.

EGR valve operation diagram

How EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) works and does not work on Lanos

Diagram of operation of the EGR solenoid valve and vacuum valve.

The system works quite simply. Exhaust gases from the exhaust pipeline are partially supplied to the intake manifold, and their supply is regulated by either a vacuum-mechanical valve or a magnetic-electric USR valve. In the first case, the valve is practically not controlled by the engine management system, in the second it is completely controlled.

Euro-2 EGR valve on a Lanos engine

And a little theory. Installation of the valve, and indeed the entire USR system (according to the Opel model, by the way) should perform the following functions:

  1. Dilute the fuel-air mixture with an inert gas without oxygen.
  2. Limit the content of exhaust gases in the combustion chamber to 10%.
  3. Due to this, the combustion temperature and pressure are reduced (since the combustion rate is lower).
  4. Reduce fuel consumption.

EGR valve Euro-3

In practice, we get a slightly different result. Since the engine capacity of the Lanos is difficult to compare with the volumes of truck diesel engines and large gasoline engines, the disadvantages of using the system are much greater. Namely, the accumulation of soot and soot in the combustion chamber, on the valves and the piston crown, which leads to increased wear, high fuel consumption and engine overheating. In the most advanced cases, engine clogging with carbon deposits can lead to detonation.

The simplest reasons

We will talk about the simplest options and solutions to the problem.

Petrol

Why won't the engine start? Everything can be quite simple: for example, you haven’t refueled your car for a long time. It happens that you simply left the car with a small amount of gasoline. When starting the engine, you need at least a glass of gasoline.

If there is very little gasoline in the gas tank, the fuel system may become airy. The wire will suck air into the fuel, and then the car will not start. Also, on a Nexia, the fuel sensor may be acting up, so you missed the next refueling.

Also, due to air getting into the fuel line, you will not be able to start the engine. This happens 50 percent of the time after replacing the fuel filter. If you have changed the fuel filter and after that the car does not start. So try pumping gasoline again so that the air comes out.

In other cases, check the actual amount of gasoline in the tank.

Poor quality fuel can also cause the engine to not function properly. If water gets into the tank, then you will never be able to start the engine. In addition, complications are possible, including water hammer. It is recommended to drain all gasoline from the gas tank and fuel filter and refill with new, tested fuel.

Contacts and battery

The battery may be the culprit in this situation. The fact is that when starting the engine, a very powerful peak charge is sent from the battery to the starter in order to crank the engine. If there is poor contact in this electrical circuit, then starting the Nexia engine will not be successful.

Check all contacts and clean them if necessary.

A bad battery may prevent the engine from starting. Check the voltage on the battery, it should be above 12 volts.

The contact group is a sore of Nexia. It is not difficult to check whether the contact group is working. If nothing happens when you turn the key, then it's time to change it.

Air

A trivial reason could be air, or rather the lack of it or, conversely, too much of it. How often do you change your air filter? Maybe it's time to replace it. Also check the air ducts to the engine, they should be sealed - without cracks or holes.

Checking the fuel pump

You can check the operation of the fuel pump yourself; it is not difficult to do. After gaining access to the fuel pump, you can begin to diagnose it. On command, the assistant turns on the ignition (for a couple of seconds), after which a sound should appear indicating that the pump is working.

If the fuel pump does not emit “signs of life,” then it is either faulty or requires complete replacement. There are situations when both the pump and the starter are both functioning, but the engine does not start. Then, using a multimeter, you need to check whether voltage is coming to the submersible element. This is done as follows. After turning the ignition key, you must hold it in the on position for three seconds, and if current flows to the pump, the tester will definitely show this.

In addition, it will be necessary to check the resistance of the fuel supply element to the engine. If at the moment of starting the engine you do not hear any signs of its operation, this must be done. To do this, connect the multimeter to the power contacts of the fuel pump. After diagnosis, resistance measurements must be compared with the manufacturer's data. If the figures obtained differ greatly from the manufacturer's specifications, then most likely the fuel pump has completely failed.

Sensors that make it impossible to start a Nexia

The sensors in the Nexia are not only responsible for the formation of the fuel-air mixture, but some sensors can prevent the engine from starting.

Crankshaft position sensor - affects engine starting. A break in the chain, as well as its incorrect operation, will not allow you to move even a millimeter!

Idle speed sensor - indirectly affects engine starting. The situation is as follows: You are trying to start the engine, and it seems to catch, but no, it immediately stalls. This inexpensive sensor may be to blame.

Absolute pressure sensor - on some versions of Nexia it affects starting the engine in cold weather. A vacuum tube goes from the sensor to the inlet, in winter condensation forms in it and the engine simply does not start!

Fuel system

If there are problems with the fuel supply, the car will never start, because this system consists of many elements designed for transportation, filtration, accounting, preparation and removal of fuel.

To begin with, you can try to test the operation of the fuel system in a way known to many car owners - using a regular syringe with gasoline, which is injected into the throttle valve. Next, we try to start the engine, and if it is “silent,” then read on.

Fuel pump for Daewoo Nexia

In cases where the Nexia does not start, and there is a possibility of problems in the fuel system, it is necessary to diagnose the functionality of the fuel pump and pressure regulator, because they most often fail in this car. Let's take a closer look at how to check the fuel pump.

Conclusion

In most cases, when the starter does not engage, this indicates a discharged battery. Even if the battery is still new, it is worth checking first. This can be done using a regular tester. It is also a good idea to make sure the relay is working properly. When starting up, this element must make clicks. Afterwards, you can inspect and “listen” to the starter itself. If the device makes extraneous noise during operation, it will have to be replaced.

By the way, if a 16 valve Nexia stalls, or it doesn’t start well in the cold, then this is very strange and most likely something serious has happened, because this car practically has no problems starting when cold.

Obviously, there are a lot of problems with launching the Daewoo Nexia. Here, by the way, it is worth considering one important point: when assembled in Uzbekistan, the machines are equipped with insufficiently high-quality electrical wiring, which often causes problems. However, if you take into account the price tags for these cars, then, as they say, you can close your eyes to a lot.

Is it worth turning off the EGR?

No, well, it’s clear that the questionable cleanliness in the collector will warm the soul. And if you also turn off the crankcase ventilation, then everything in the manifold will start to shine. Moreover, it will shine even more than those who disabled only one USR!

Well, okay.

It is known that the USR system comes into operation in partial load mode, lowers the combustion temperature, which reduces the detonation threshold, and this, in turn, makes it possible to use earlier ignition.

I analyzed the diagnostic charts of different machines a lot. And he revealed two patterns:

  1. Cars that did not have a USR system from the factory (and were disabled by software) work with the later UOS as a whole
  2. When the USR valve opens, the OZ increases. Or vice versa - as the SOP increases, the USR valve opens.

Here's an example. The opening graph of the USR valve visually constantly repeats the ignition timing graph. The UOZ is up and the USR valve control signal is also up, the OZO is down and the USR valve control signal is also down. And the voltage of the knock sensor practically remains the same.

I have an injector! I agree with the coil, maybe it “misses” one of these days I’ll buy a new one. Then I’ll write back. Does the spark also disappear because of it?!

hello everyone) it’s even more interesting for me... I stopped near the store, got into Ksyusha, turned the key in the ignition, silence - usually it sounds tilim-tilim, the control lights come on... and then there’s silence... and the starter turns.. I change the contact group of the ignition switch - zero effect...
  • Good afternoon
I encountered a similar problem! In the morning when the frost is -8, the car completely refuses to start. The same thing happened a week ago. But then the car started up after much torment! The same problem happened a year ago. In the morning in cold weather the car does not start, but in the evening it starts. About a month ago the CG burned out. Now there is a new CG and two unloading relays of 70A each. Yesterday morning it was -8 outside, the car wouldn’t start. The starter turns, but does not engage. I came home from work in the evening and it started the second time. Moreover, it was -10 outside all day. This morning -14, I got into the car and it wouldn’t start again. When I didn’t want to start a week ago, I sinned on spark plugs. I bought new ones. Tell me, what can freeze in the cold and cause the car not to start?
