Graphite metallic or milky way
Good day.
Are graphite metallic and milky way the same color? I'm going to buy Euro pens in the body color of the 2114, there is no graphite metallic anywhere, but maybe there is a way, I have a suspicion about the identity of the colors... Tell me, who knows. Take it with confidence. I have a car in 606 color - Milky Way. And in the PTS - Graphite metallic. Here, in fact, is the difference. In writing)
Thank you, VAZ distinguished himself again, let's go with flowers. :)
spelled correctly. 606 milky and according to the passport it is graphite metallic, but there is only one thing, but they have different shades and different grain sizes, but I think on such a small part the difference will not be very noticeable
Let’s hope that the difference won’t be visible (but there definitely will be a difference)…
I have a baby. I took unpainted pens. mostly black... I don't really care!
I have graphite metallic, the handles are set to milky way, everything looks fine
graphite metallic is a color, and milky way paint is 606.
They just look matte like stock mirrors and painted ones. :) the difference is 300 rubles. I think painted ones are better... Has anyone installed painted lynx handles, how does the paint “behave”?
Yes, I bought the “Milky Way” pens for myself, and I have the same bl. "space". The handles look blue and the color of the basin is a shade of gray. Now I’m trying to sell... Nobody needs it? 330 UAH)

Features of paints
Restoring paintwork or selecting body parts to match the body color are common types of body repairs for VAZ models. And good quality paint is the primary key to a beautiful and healthy car.
The owner who fully understands what it all means pays careful attention, almost scrupulously, to the condition of the car paint. Here are just a few properties of paintwork, determined by the chemical composition of the paint:
- Curing time, or the amount of time it takes for paint to dry;
- A specific color with an individual, unique shade;
- Gloss: its presence or absence;
- Viscosity;
- Temperature that must be maintained during the drying process;
- Adhesion and much more.
Drying time is the required period of time required for all the solvent to come out of the paint layer and for the surface to acquire at least some hardness. This indicator is also called polymerization time. If the paint takes a long time to dry, then there is nothing wrong with this, only in one case: if the drying is carried out in a well-closed garage, hermetically sealed on all sides (something similar to a drying chamber).
In principle, the conditions described above are required for any paint, but the duration of maintaining the regime may vary. So, if the paint is based on alkyd enamel, its drying time will be much shorter.
Note. However, this has its drawback: rapid drying contributes to the formation of a thin layer of film on the surface, which prevents the composition underneath from completely drying. In other words, such paint is only dry in appearance, but does not have sufficient hardness from the inside.
On the contrary, acrylic enamels (AE) look much better. They dry, however, longer than alkyd ones (AlE), but they provide the required hardness.
There is another concept of paint that is more commonly used in the automotive world. We are talking about the ability of paint to give off gloss. It is clear that matte paint will not look very good on a car, although the color itself can be of great importance here, and matte paints are often coated with varnish on top.
Note. For the most part, alkyd enamels have matte properties. Acrylics, on the contrary, have a shiny appearance.
First of all, the chemical composition of the paint allows you to expand the range of colors as much as possible. And often, designers use melamine alkyd enamels (MAle), which give iridescent colors at different angles and look very beautiful. But applying these paints is a rather complicated process and requires knowledge of the specifics, the ability to apply several layers, etc.
In turn, a lot also depends on the viscosity of the paint. So, if the paint does not meet this indicator, the paint layer on the car will be cast in large drops, which looks extremely unsightly and is a defect. On the contrary, MAle and AlE have low viscosity (liquid) and allow you to obtain the desired appearance.
A property called adhesion allows the atoms of paint and body metal to firmly bond. All automotive enamels, be it alkyd, melamine-alkyd or acrylic, have almost equal adhesion. Only acrylic has this ability a little more.
Drying temperature is no less important. Thus, it is known that MAle has the highest drying temperature. In this case, the mark reaches 150 degrees. This significantly limits its use in garage conditions, where there is nowhere and nothing to provide such a degree.
What color is graphite metallic?
The catalog contains car colors of Russian and foreign car manufacturers. Basically, these colors refer to Mobihel and Duxone paints, the car enamels and coatings of which correspond to the popular colors of Lada VAZ and GAZ cars. But despite the fact that the paint codes given in the table correspond to domestic cars, these same colors are also used in the foreign automobile industry, they just have a different coding.
Please note that colors on a computer screen cannot convey all shades of car enamels, especially metallics, which “play” in the light and shimmer. Flower images shown are for reference only. You can roughly select a color, but only catalogs (fans of colors) can give you a real idea of car colors; they can be found in car paint stores or from colorists.
Automotive paints (auto enamels) are divided into two main groups: metallic and non-metallic. They differ in that the first has a pearlescent tint, while the second does not.
Click on a color swatch to find a photo of a car in that color. And if desired, the table can be sorted by clicking on the heading of the desired column.

graphite with a bluish tint and milky with a gray tint
Yes, they are the same, mine says graphite, but my brother has the same color as Mlechka
Misha, I think space with blue
Alexey, I won’t argue that the sidekick has 12 milky ones, but drogogot4 has graphite shades like this
Graphite metallic is what they write in the title, but this is the milky way, i.e. the same thing
Fuck, it looks like it should be the same thing. I bought the paint in a bottle many times, asked for graphite metallic, they gave me the milky way. When I first asked why the different name, they said that’s what they call it. Indeed, the paint was the same. But recently I bought a bumper, milky way. I installed it and it was so different that I began to doubt it.
If you look at it from the side, it's the same thing, but if you look at it from the back, it's very different.
Akraman, I took a spray can of 606 milk and painted the saber, they don’t seem to differ, but the one in the TCP is graphite

How to determine the color of a VAZ 2113, 2114, 2115 by year of manufacture
This summer I decided to change the bumpers to new ones. I reached under the spare tire to look at the color number on the plate. The sign was there. There is only one BUT: it was NOT FILLED! The second sign was not in place at all. The documents for the car listed the body color as “graphite metallic”. I started searching on the Internet: how to determine the color? There are several ways (except for the color plate, you can use the VIN) and it seemed to me the simplest - by the year of manufacture of the car.
I am attaching an image (photo of the table):
